My boyfriend labored over the Minton tile he installed around the fireplace in his small library. The tile is a vivid, leaf green with 2 insets of pale, delicate flowered tile (not my choice, but it was before we met!). I am puzzled about what color we could paint the walls in this small room. The mantle is currently painted white, and the fireplace is flanked by painted, built in book cases, floor to ceiling. The house is sort of Craftsman style, and has oak hardwood floors throughout. There are 2 windows in the room; western exposure. Boy, do I need help with this one. Many thanks.
