tough one...can't decide on an island or counter top. guess counter top is the statement maker for a kitchen, thus that's my final vote.

I voted for custom cabinets, which is what I just installed in my new kitchen. I love them! REAL wood!!! Even inside!!!! And a whirlpool smooth top range with two ovens. The best thing I've ever bought. I LOVE my range! Even my rooster loves it... hahahaha.

If I was really getting my dream kitchen there would be a bunch of things I would have, not just one. But walk-in pantry, granite or marble counters, island, vintage drainer sink, tons of FireKing, & harlequin-painted wood floors would make my list.

Integrated Fridge-sick of seeing big bulky fridges, it disturbs the lines of the room. But also must have is stone countertops and custom cabinets

What about a stainless steel trash compacter??? Best. Investment. Ever! Otherwise I vote for big island.

The fridge is a large and bulky item that seems to stick out; integrate it in the cabinets and make it disappear help a better flow and larger feel; the only exception is if the fridge is a feature piece in bold red or blue! (more popular in Europe).

One day, I will have a walk in pantry. One day...

Arrrg, guess I'm not a kitchen person either. I don't think all features here are must-haves but more concerned about how the kitchen looks all together. Since I'm always so space-conscious I'd pick the walk-in pantry, would be nice to have if there's enough space for one.

I don't think you could do without any elements as such in a kitchen really-you need most of them especially counters, sink, storage, refrigerator and cooker- I will go with cooker though since I cook a real lot.
