Even consider this BM Mineral Ice

I have bm sage color.. vale mist going up next week on walls what do u think of rug?

Just I just implied the rug worked...saying it now, for sure...it works well :)

Concerned about the brown sofa…often brown has a lot of pink in it.

How about taupe instead?


I also just finished a kitchen and used vale mist. Not seeing it with your rug, at least on my monitor.

taupe would be ok too, just starting to look at couches!

I don't think it's too matchy matchy at all. Very beautiful. If you were going to use that design on the sofa and chairs, I'd tell you to run away from that rug. Paint and other accessories will show it off at it's best. Go for it! Post pictures when you get it all done!

Iamjudy, don't you love the vale mist? Right now it's in my dining room but going on my walls in living room the first week in December. It's such a soothing calm color. I will consider taupe over chocolate brown for he couch and will post when I'm finished,thanks for the feedback!

I like the couch color that Judy suggested...adds to the calm you're looking for. Add in gray or light blue throw pillows (from the color on the rug)

I think bringing in a bit more of the blue in your carpet is needed. Perhaps an accent chair would tie in the blue from the area rug quite nicely. Artwork with shades of that blue would also help. The blue in your carpet is a beautiful color I wouldn't ignore it. Very nice selections !

The curtains are beautiful and a nice match with the carpet but I'm questioning both with oak furniture. I think of oak as heavy and informal almost masculine....your curtains/carpet are very refined and formal. Could we see a pic of the oak furniture?

Hi leelee, no sectional on the prior posts requests from a few weeks ago on furniture placement. A couch and 2 chairs is the plan..the oak furniture is light oak pennsylvania house and is in some prior pics which I will try to post. Thought of repainting but if it chips, that would look awful. but.....still might consider it. Have just 2 end tables and a coffee table which I will probably sell or repurpose. This has been a work in progress as you know from the pics of my dining room and living room furniture placement photos from a few weeks back. I did rehang the dr curtains higher and added rings to give me the entra length. Also hung between windows as suggested.. Thanks for feedback everyone!
