I am leaning towards a chocolate or coffee dark brown colored floor. I like the color of brazilian cherry, and the reddish browns, but since my island is a reddish brown, if I get a reddish brown floor it'll be the exact same color as my island. I luuuuuv the look of unfinished Hickory, but I don't want my house to look all rustic. If I could get some Hickory without a lot of knots that would be nice, or if I could find a stained Hickory that didn't look so Rustic. I also like Maple. Note the design on my coulmn, I am going to try to find some crown moulding for the cabinets with that design and install it too. I already have a beautiful round glass table with it on there, so I figured I would carry it on through my kitchen. My house is a colonial. My sofa is white leather and I have not purchased a dining room table yet.
