Re. the floors...how vulnerable would your floors be if you had a plumbing leak ? We are replacing our Pergo right now and need to replace our floors. I would like to have a wood floor or wood product floor. Any ideas?

It really depends on how bad the leak is, where it is and how quickly you catch it. A plumbing leak can cause a lot of damage regardless of what kind of floor you have. Of most any flooring product, wood is the most susceptible to water damage. This particular floor finish requires a lot of maintenance when it comes to water spotting.
