What price range would be normal for custom made window treatments?

I just got the quote from my window treatment designer and nearly passed out from the price! Wonder what kind of price range others have paid. My price is nearly $1,200 per window. It does include everything - fabric, sewing, mounting, hardware.

Here at Blindsgalore we offer all custom window treatments, so I would like to this is my arena for advice. Are those your windows pictured above? There are so many options when it comes to window treatments - fabrics, liners, lift options (cord/cordless/motor), sizing, measuring, installation, etc. If you are a DIY kind-of girl, you can easily install window treatments yourself, as a lot of companies bundle it all together and a large cost is in measuring and installation. You did say fabric, so are you looking to do roman shades or drapery? Would love to help further, as I do think you can get a better price then what you have been quoted.

Generally, "hard" window treatment options (like blinds and shades) run from $100 - $ 150 per linear foot installed. "Soft" treatments, like draperies and roman shades, run at an average of $ 200 per linear foot installed. I hope this helps!

You have not provided enough information for us to tell you if that price is reasonable as mentioned above. Size of the window, type of window treatment selected, fabric selected, trim, hand sewn details, interlinings, type of curtain rod...too many unknowns.

There are a lot of factors that play into pricing window treatments. JMittan Designs brings up a good point... Too many factors to tell based upon what we know so far.
