I know how to do it when you are posting. It just doesn't work when I want to attach an update photo. When I add a comment and click attach photo where to type the comment it doesn't attach anything. I tried multiple times.

Are you on iphone or desktop..

You have to just add it as a comment, there is no other way to add an updated photo.

I love the teal with the cream bed! Looks amazing! My whole downstairs is teal, brown, gray and cream:)

You might add a bench to the bottom of your bed or an accent chair near to the window. Also, you can add some different colors with the pillows or other artworks because only colors that you used is brown and beige. You should get attention with other colors.

I wouldn't hide the foot of the bed with anything, but the chair idea is good, as you can see in the teal one above.

I agree with decoenthusiaste on this one about not putting a bench.

Vitapilat, you may have to update your iphone app. I had the same trouble with uploading photos, but once I did the last app update it was all fixed

Yes I will check if an update is available! I will be putting an accent chair in the corner (not shown in the photos) I have a crib there right now so I'm waiting till my baby gets moved to another room. :)

Here is a few photos I took with more lighting. I still haven't removed the lamp above the bed and I need to fix the blinds on the windows. There is a little paint on the side of the left wall that I was sampling. I didn't like the color. I will choose a color after I change the bedding.

I think it is a form of roman shade.
Maybe someone who is more knowledgeable about window coverings can jump in here and help ;-)

Looks like you're off to a really great start! I'd suggest a bench in front of the bed, some window panels for the window to the right of the room (after you select bedding). I'd go with white sheets and white pillowcases, and coordinating euro shams to the bedding you choose. For bedding, I'd suggest a solid color with a simple row cord or two. Loving your design so far :)

Nice room. I agree that the art is not the ideal size or shape for that space. Mostly it is hung too high as it is.

Remove the art.and bedside lamps..wrong shape for the space. Invest in two large plain white light fittings hanging down low from the ceiling as a feature on either side of the bed and consider a whole wall of transparent drapes to cover window wall completely.

I like the room. You don't have to do much to tweak it. Learning from my own mistakes I know it's a lot easier to choose the bedding you love then choose the wall colour to compliment, not the other way around. Also I like to ask myself "how does this room make me feel when I walk in and how do I want it to make me feel?". Sometimes it's good to bite the bullet and apply the chosen wall colour to all walls not just behind the bed, in order to create a mood. I agree with comments about the art shape and size. You need a portrait-shaped picture for that wall. Good luck.

I like the lamps and dark wall behind the bed in Beckstein's photos. The current ones strike me as too small for the bed, and the dark gives good contrast with the silver/white lamps and bed.

The bed is nice; The rug is really too small; it should spread out so feet hit the rug (not the cold floor) when getting out of bed, and rug continues around the bed to make a warm path to the door. Rug's important; if too small it makes the bed look too big.

Yes change the art to a better shape for its space.

I like less rather than more. So - I'm fine with the blinds.

Yes the lamps are too small. Yes get rid of the overhead lamp unless it is really good to read by; and yes, I'd use larger lamps to make the bed look smaller by scale and better to read by; I like drawers beside the bed for all the little necessities of the night. Books, reading glasses, heated mattress pad controls, glass o' water, and phone.

I do agree with another pillow each, but I'm against pillow pile-ups unless they are actually used.

Your 3 lil windows pop up way too much, im no interior designer so the only simple idea that comes to mind is match the trim color to wall color as well as the blinds or other window treatment. hope you find a fantastic solution.

I love the room too! A couple of thoughts: I like the use of beautiful ceramic lamps to add a pop of color. Then you can pick up that color again, perhaps in a throw at the end of your bed and/or some throw pillows on the bed or chair(s). Something with a lovely curvy shape to soften the straight lines. Love the panels on the large window posted previously. And for the small windows above the bed, I suggest white or cream pleated shades with a very small sized pleat. Good luck!

I have a similar pitched ceiling in my home. To break up the 'soaring' height I added a stepped pan ceiling along the two angled walls as well as the high sided wall. Adding can lights in the lower soffit will wash the walls nicely and can highlight art work. My lower pan is 18" foot with the smaller pan 6" up and at 24". Painting it the same as the walls lets shadow lines make the statement, or a focal color would highlight it.

Your floors are beautiful and I really like your bed. You need to lighten up the room. The nightstands are too dark and so is the wall color. I like @decoenthusiaste color scheme. I especially like the idea od having light colored or mirrored nightstands with the white bed. I do agree that the rug is too small. But find a way to make it work it the room since it is so pretty and goes nicely with the bed, Perhaps you can move it to a different location in the room if your room Is big enough.

Also, either replace the lamps with taller ones or replace the lamp shade so the top is at least has high as the top of the bed frame and that will help balance the 3 small windows above.

Hi, I love the lighting above the headboard.. I would like to have similar in my kitchen as it has no windows!! where did you get them.. As for your bed.. A pop of color.. I'm thinking a dark orange accent.. the picture you could replace with a colored picture of your choice or paint the one you have, if you can't.. have a friend do it .. no need to buy one.. with the colors you like then add pillow accents with same colors, I like the idea of a foot bench.. I have one I purchased at Arc paid ten bucks.. it's a big box, that could have been used for a toy box or anything else.. I use it for extra bedding, have a quilt on top of it to sit and put shoes, etc on.. my cat loves it

Drapery for the window and do three frames vertical with the drapery. Then definitely new polish wall scones install a little higher than headboard of bed. Add some pretty jewel tone floral arrangement to compliment bedding as recommended by lefty47

New paint to the wall behind the bed and to the ceiling. I see them both in one colour, in any shade of light blue. The windows behind the bed could be "framed' like pictures. The blinds.. pleated, in different matching colours/patterns. The bed is perfect as it is, you may change only the upholstery depending on wall/blinds colours.

What about a carpet like this to colour the room a bit.

I can see this room being beautiful. Your starting pieces are great. I'm not sure what your decorating style is, but from the pieces you have selected I would say you like clean lines and minimal accessories. I think the bedding you asked about would work perfectly on your bed. I might not use as many pillows and would use more contrast, but those are personal preferences. I agree with others who said to take down the picture next to the big window. Could you or have you tried pulling the twigs and vase forward in place of the print? You could also place the second one on the other side of that same window. For my own personal taste I am seeing to much symmetry (and I love symmetry) and cramping on the main wall anyway. I like the lamps, but can see rounder and little bit bigger shade looking good only because everything else is square. It might soften the look a bit. I like the shag rug, I have one, but I think there would be more impact in the room if there was more contrast between the bed and rug. If your planning on putting a bench with a contrasting color it would work, however it may take away from the bed, which to me, should be the focal point. It might work if you pulled it forward, away from under the bed, and let the dark floor show between the bed and rug. What purpose that serves is beyond me, but I have seen it done. You really don't need an area rug because your floors are beautiful and the bedding you select just may give the room that wow factor all on its own. I hope some of my thoughts are helpful and not disturbing or confusing. I asked for opinions once and will probably never do it again. It confused me more than helped me and some opinions were quite wacky and not my decorating style. I didn't see any like that here. Good Luck and I think your room will be beautiful based upon what you already have.

What a great start to your bedroom! I agree with a lot of the other comments. Lose the picture beside the window. Ample side panels on the window (that are similar colour to the walls) will take up a lot of the space where the picture is now so don't put anything else on that wall. Add at least one more pair of pillows, more if you are a pillow person. Your bed linens look skimpy, a big fluffy duvet would look great with a coverlet or quilt (not patchwork) across the foot of the bed. If you keep your linens in shades of white, then go for a bold colour for the coverlet/duvet like a rich ruby red. I would also replace the area rug under the bed. I think you need more contrast between the bed and the rug to compliment the star of the room, your great bed. Finally, I would go with much bigger lamps to match the scale of your bed. The ones you have look kiddie sized next to your bed. Would love to see whatever changes you do make to the room!

If it were me I would add a piece of furniture or two at the end of the bed. A pair of ottomans at the end of the ottoman would add additional seating. It's also a great way to add color and texture to your bedroom.

From top to bottom, right to left, Ceni liquorice ottoman, Italy ottoman, Hugo gray ottoman or the Nova ottoman in gray from Bryght would all be great options.
