Can you not seal it yourself to save costs - or is it a difficult process?

All natural stone needs to be sealed as part of the installation process, and maintained thereafter by the end user. Sealing stone is easy, we find people tend to forget to do it, and that's when problems can start. Put a reminder on your calendar to check it and re-seal if needed every 6-9 months. Please keep in mind natural stones are sensitive, look for a cleaning product specifically designed to clean a natural stone material.
