Since you have a lot of blues and greens, you could consider a pop of orange to compliment your color palette! This is as easy as a few accent pillows, a new piece of framed artwork, or even just a vase of flowers. But like Margo said, if you love it, why change it? Good luck!

I think one more dog would be the perfect touch! If you love it...leave it alone. What matters is how you feel when you're in your home....not whether it meets some designer standards. IMHO

Iove it the way it is ... My only suggestion would be to change out the pillows that "match" the chaise pattern - colors are fine, just do a different "pattern" or some other tones from there in solids.

Your room looks great and you're happy. Dogs look pretty happy too. What else could one ask for!

If you think an accent color might brighten things up, find a color you love, buy a quart of it, paint a small wall and see what you think. The worst that can happen is that you have to repaint.

-- The complimentary color to your camel, brown, tan, neutral palette is in the blue/aqua family. You could use touches of a shade of that group to give you a nice, safe pick-me-up contrast in the space.

Also, since you have white woodwork, change out some pillows for white/cream, monogrammed ones using a teal [for example] for the monogram.

You could add something to the top of your TV unit that would add color and interest to that wall - books with the right color covers and spines, sculpture, etc. Also, it feels like you need larger pieces of art for the amount of wall space you have.

Pull colors from your artwork down onto the sofa, chairs to help knit the room together. As you can see from the color wheel, by going directly across from your rust color, you end up in the blue-greens. Zeus, pictured below on his powder blue blanket could not resist posting his handsomness!

Use colors from the earthy side - not clear - the blues [or any color you choose] need to be grayed down and dusty looking..

I do think some orange accessories would be a fun pop of color, like J Walsh Construction mentioned. It would tie in with your lampshade, too and brighten up the neutral tones with the blues even more.

Change your throw pillow covers whenever you feel like it, including at the change of the seasons. Add different throw rugs at different times, and other accessories. I have a big stock of things in the linen cupboard to change around. Boredom buster.
