We just had our red oak floors refinished: sanded, stained, and 3 coats of satin top coat finish. It has been one week. How long should I wait before putting down my 8'x10' area rug? I want to make sure the surface is well cured, and have a rug covering damage the flooring in any way. I have ordered a quality felt padding to go under the rug. Can't find it again, but somewhere I read that you should wait 30 days.
