Hello and thank you for your question.

The cabinets in this kitchen are cherry with a medium-brown stain. There are a wide variety of paint colors than can be used with this style, wood species and stain. I am partial to a Benjamin Moore color called Shaker Beige (color number HC-45). We tend to use that color in all of our showrooms and many client projects.

These cabinets coordinate nicely with almost any medium-toned hardwood floor color. However, I would not try to match the color exactly as that seldom works. Nor would I use a lighter colored wood floor like natural maple.

I hope this helps. Thanks again for your question and happy remodeling!

Thank you for your response. I like that paint in the photo. Is that Shaker Beige? Also, I have a soffit. Should I paint it another color in that shaker beige family?

No...this particular kitchen is not Shaker Beige. Regarding the soffit, we usually don't paint it a different color. We like to remove soffits where possible and practical and install wall cabinets that go to the ceiling. When this is not practical, we try to cover the soffits with wood that matches the cabinetry which gives the appearance of taller cabinets.

Thank you. we selected shaker beige as you suggested and it looks great in the kitchen. Now we are looking for wood flooring as you said medium color. So you have any suggestions for back splashes. Thanks again Grace

Hi Grace. Tumbled marble 4" x 4" on the diagonal always look nice.
