TV over fireplace....help!

Thinking this tv is too large for this space. Maybe centering on wall instead of over fireplace? Received this tv from my sons as Christmas gift and looking for my options. Thanks!

I've found if the TV and fireplace are on adjacent walls it is usually easier to set up furniture to see both. Also, this looks too high for the size of your space, the bottom of the tv needs to be 36-40 inches above the floor.

Yes I have to agree with you. The tv is much to large for this area.

Great tv. I think because of it's size it needs a wall itself as opposed to over a fire place.

This TV cannot stay on this wall. It needs to be placed on a larger wall by itself. Is the wall to the left large enough? Please take a picture and post.

Definitely cannot stay there! A low cabinet on a wall by itself would be best.

Whoa - that is one large TV!!! I agree with the other commenters about moving it to the adjacent wall. I also agree that your furnishing arrangement will work much better with the TV on this other wall. If you do move the TV, you may want to think about adding a mantel above the fireplace.

Holy tv! Best to move it to another wall and to hang or place it lower for more comfortable viewing. The fireplace is quite small, and the stone surround only accents that. Can you continue the stone across that fireplace wall to the corner and up to the ceiling? Or can you do built ins into the corner that would integrate the fireplace with the whole wall?
