D'Anne can you post a picture of the vanities? In a modern design I would say do a simple beveled, or flat edge. An ogee edge looks better on 3cm, but I wouldn't put that edge in a "rustic modern" bathroom. A chiseled edge could work, but don't think I would want to put the edges in a bathroom. For modern look you either want to keep it straight at 2cm or you can have it mitered to a thicker modern look. If you bevel or bullnose a 2cm without building it up it will look way too small.

Eased edge. Rustic = simple. Modern = simple.
