Love the island. We are considering the white caesarstone or similar manmade top. However we heard its hard to keep the white clean and were worried about putting hot pots etc on it because we also rent out the house. I'd love to hear from you on those two items. Thanks!

I have caesarstone in color buttermilk, have had no problems with heat or cleaning. The company (caesarstone) promises a nonporous, stain, scratch and heat resistant and backed by a residential lifetime warranty. I love mine and now reccommend to all my clients, not to mention is it's super enviornment friendly

Hi there, yes I echo the other response. We have had no problem with ours. We actually have never put anything super hot on it, I guess we are cautious with that since we had heard the same thing. As far as cleaning, we do get a few tiny little hair size scratches on it from time to time, but they come right off with a bit of clorox. Our counters still look just as beautiful as when we got them installed though, we love them!
