Photos such as this have frequently been staged with no consideration given for practicalities - In reality, there may be cords run from the wall to the desk, perhaps under the rug and up the leg of the desk...
...or the homeowner will use a laptop instead which can be run off batteries and Wifi - then plugged in somewhere to recharge when not in use.

Yay!....no power cords. I try to hide mine in clever ways all the time but the function of this design really works! This beats extension cords around the perimeter of a room and ugly plastic tubes to bunch the cords into one giant ugly cord. Lol.

Where is all the other electronic equipment in this room? I'm reconfiguring my office and I like this clean design, but I have two printers, a modem, a router, USB hub, and phone that all plug in.
