I would find a paint to go over that tile. Ugh! Tone just doesn't go well with your beautiful cabinet and counter color.

The walls i'd pick a dove gray. And the window covering I'd tie the counter top , cabinetry and tile paint with a roman shade with a fun uplifting pattern! One that makes you smile!!!

The tile color around the tub doesn't come through well in this photo. The floor tile is a better representation. I had a designer create a mood board, and she suggested Timid White by BM. I really want some kind of color on the walls. The samples I have tried are Moonshine, Tidewater, Glass Slipper, and Edgecomb Gray. So far the Moonshine is my favorite, but I don't know if I love it.

I like the top color best but can see why a designer would recommend Timid White or my go to color Swiss Coffee by Behr. There are too many colors to tie together in the wood stone and tile. I'd make the walls very plain then get a window treatment to go with the stone and wood. Bright towels and accent would be easy to change pops of color.
Or go bold and get a deep saturated color on the walls the goes with the stone and let the tile fade in the background. Is the tub tile really the same as the floor?

I feel a binding colour, that is very versatile, such as bm revere pewter will resolve your problem. Of course do a test first. I think it will mute the brightness with a sophisticated tone. I would then add a stunning black and white poster above the bath.

Even if it is the same beige and not pinkish I would replace with white tile to match the tub. (Yes there are epoxy paints to fix it fast.)That way you don't have 3 stripes of color on that wall. You also could paint that ledge the same color as the wall.

And add some hardware to the bathroom cabinetry--
depending on what you do with the rest of the room hardware can really improve the look of stock cabinetry...

Kathleen yes the tub tile is really the same color as the floor. I took this picture with my cell phone, so the colors didn't come through very accurately. I'm going to research painting tile. I don't know much about it. Do you think I should just paint the tile around the tub and leave the tile on the floor? We can't afford to replace all the tile right now. It is definitely not what I would have picked out. I bought a sample of Timid White to see how it will look.

AVSInteriors I LOVE revere pewter. I bought some sample boards today to paint to hopefully get a better read of what some other colors will look like. I also planned on putting up black and white pictures on each side of the tub.

loves2read Yes this was brand new construction that we purchased after it was built. The materials used in the Master bath and secondary bath are the same. We renovated the kitchen. They used big thick moulding and trim throughout and we have reclaimed pine floors. The rest of the house looks very nice especially with what we did in the kitchen. This room is just whomp whomp...... I have cup pulls for the drawers and knobs for the cabinets. We just haven't installed them yet.

I am 28 weeks pregnant, so I am in BIG time nesting mode. We're working on so many projects at once, so we've had to prioritize. I may beg my hubby to paint these cabinets white. I think it would make a big difference and then try to do something with the tile around the tub. I agree there are just too many competing colors in this room. What other colors are in your house? Is that granite uba tub? We have uba tuba in our bathroom with a darker cabinet and painted a warm beige color - BM Shaker Beige. It gives the room warmth without giving a ton of color. I plan to use color in the window treatments and the towels.

Please don't paint the tiles. They are neutral enough you can find a paint color to go with it.

Also, I just painted two rooms in my house the BM revere pewter. In one room I absolutely hate it because it gets so much light that the walls appear to be white. In the small powder room it is okay. Not a favorite but I was so undecided and had just picked colors for the entire house so I was exhausted with paint chips and samples. We only used it again in the powder room because we had a can and a half leftover and I was so undecided what to do in there.

toomanywhitewalls Wall colors? The whole house is this yellow except the nursery, which we painted a blue gray after we moved in. I really hate the yellow. Now that we're expecting baby #2, I told my husband we have to do something about it, so we are painting the entire house except for one secondary bedroom, bathroom, and powder room. The plan is to paint the main areas Edgecomb Gray and our bedroom Moonshine.

The granite is Verde Butterfly I believe. We have Uba Tuba in the kitchen, so I know it's not that.

It's interesting to hear that Revere Pewter reads white in one of your rooms. It looks so dark on the color chip. I wouldn't mind if it looked white in certain lighting in the bathroom if it looks OK with everything else going on in there otherwise. Do you have any pictures you can share? I'd love to see!

This was taken at night but this room gets tons of light making the RP look white.

The RP is very neutral and kind of takes another life in every room it goes in.

You could do a pale olive green or a nice, dark beige. Both would make the tile pop while blending in with the granite!

My kitchen was just painted BM Oak Ridge which looks beige during the day and takes on a hint of green at night. That would probably look really nice with the green tile.

Watch out for that nesting thing and don't even think about tile painting if pregnant because those fumes of epoxy paint are toxic whether you do it or someone else. I thought the beadboard was a great idea too. If the tile is really the beige of the floor I would not change it at all. If you have a scrap piece of it from the builder take it to be color matched at the paint counter. Then you will get the right shade of beige. Timid white may still be your best bet and you can use fabrics to add color like the greens from the marble. The wall will recede once your pictures and decor is up.
