Suggestions? Trying to pull this living room together

Not the pillow in previous post

I like what you are pulling together with the striped pillow and the rug. Your artwork and the vase of yellow flowers pulls the color through your dining and living. I cant tell by the photo if you pulled the solid blue pillow to the corners of your sectional. A solid horizontal kidney pillow that matches the square on either side would look great.

What would you think of adding a new material like a metal or stone to break up the brown/beige textiles of the sectional and ottoman? It could come from a new tray or a stone, ceramic or metal object on your ottoman tray.

I love the stripes but I think you are using a beige and taupe (at least it looks like that on my screen) and those colours don't work together.... edithsmom is correct.How about finding stripes in a pale teal and sand colour similar to this set up but slightly less amped up colour?
