This great room is right off the kitchen and flows from the breakfast nook and hearth room. Our taste is traditional, and the colors in the adjacent rooms are neutrals with a gray-blue.

Floor to ceiling drapes will have such an impact. The walls on either side of the fireplace would look really great with some shelving. You can move the couch back a few inches too.

Your room is very unbalanced. Sofa needs to move away from the windows and get centered in front of the fireplace area.

Remove the end table on left and replace it with a long narrow console table behind sofa that faces the FP. Then put your lamp on the console.

Can you try that and show new pictures? Also, your pics are dark because of the light from the windows. Try taking new pics in the evening.

It appears as though the television will be mounted over your mantle? I agree, you will need to try to center the sectional to be face the mantel.
It is a dramatic room, so please do select floor to ceiling window treatments, or at least up to the height of the fireplace beam. In general, everyone will want to know a bit more information. Which colors do you live well with? ect. Do you also have additional occasional chairs? Do you already own other pieces that you want included?

Can you relocate the tv to the wall to the left of the sectional? TV's above fireplaces are too high for optimal viewing. Then you could put some lovely art above the fireplace. Pull the sectional as far from the wall as you can (try to center it in front of the fireplace) while still leaving a generous walkway to its left. Window treatments, area rug, and accent pillows will finish the space quite nicely.

I'm a fan of no drapes unless you really need them for privacy or UV control. Drapes of that length and expanse will be really expensive. I love how dramatic your windows are with no covering.

Also, fill in the corner near the window with a palm.

Beautiful space! I really think you should consider getting some contrasting furniture pieces. It will give the room a lot of visual interest. Given the traditional look and feel of the existing details I would pick pieces that are timeless and classic and that will compliment the space. I really like the Edward sofa from Bryght in bard gray, it's cosy and practical as well as being stylish. I would pair it with the Polo arm chair in cognac leather, I love mixing different fabrics and textures together. The warm tones of the arm chair will compliment your wall color. In front of the sofa I would place the Nes coffee table in the cocoa wood stain, circular coffee tables allow for great circulation. Personally, I like it when all of the electronics are out of sight, so I strongly recommend a sideboard, it also helps balance out the look of wall mounted television. I think the Ceni sideboard in cocoa wood stain would work really well with the other pieces that I have recommended.... also, you can never have too much storage.
