Nice job.but try to hard.remove some accessories. Remove pots by TV nothing needed. Add them to mantel and take away other items. Art by door move to firepl. Not working there. The blue stool by door move to end of chaise. Move other one closer to chair to use for a drink. The room looks busy. Try putting ottomans by coffee,in back of sect we see. Place long way side by side with5-6"between.don't know it will work? Sometimes you have to move things a few times. Remove pieces. See room by taking pics.

Put bigger 16" pillows on sofa mix it up with peacock,teal,aqua. Use prints with solids.

Add white birch logs in Firepl. Add a black screen.

I think the mirror above the mantel is too small. I would do something more vertical and also remove the candlesticks. They seem to clutter the mantel. As for the vases, they are not necessary there. They are beautiful, but you could probably use them somewhere else.

hi everyone! I have changed things since these last pics. I will post later when I get home. I got rid of the beach photo...It felt odd there. I agree about the mirror over the fire place...I like it for now, but will probably get something larger in the future(I got the present one in west elm and it didnt cost too much). As for the trim, we finished taht too. Lucky for us, our cabinet designer was not busy and he cut all of the trim to fit by hand. IT has a sort of modern crafstman feel to it. We did not go with the trimless door...too expensive ...eps since that idea should have been completed before we "closed up the house" after the renovation. I have new accent pillow that I purhcased from a great store in nyc called abc capet (the best for pillows in my opinion). I will post pics later . thanks for the great advice :)

Where do you live? Love the view. With those great windows, and view, play off that. Very minimal in furn, accessories. In your case less is more. Bedroom looks nice. Good job.

TJMax Home goods. The best store, for very thing. All designer I know shop at TJ, great prices. And the best accessories. That and Z Galleries are just fun to walk though. Great place to get ideas. But, word of advice, when you see something you love. Buy it. It won't be there if come back another day. Home goods had the best return policy. Because they deal with designer so much. I'll go in for a client and buy 3 different rugs or a chairs. Test in the clients home. If it doesn't work. It goes back. No fees. You need to try things out. To see what works in your home. Your master is very tasteful and serene. The grays and yellows are my fav right now.

yes travis! z gallerie is another fav of mine....and west elm for accessories. I know what you mean about HG...I got the best accent chair for bedroom for 150 dollars!! I will post later....I dont spend a lot on the furniture believe it or not....but I do on pillows!!!!

Home goods have pillows too. Remember just a accent, that can change. I don't get people spending $5 k on a sofa. I like to change it up. It's very hard if you are spending that kind of money, then you think you have to keep it forever. Are in California? My son in laws last name is a Houser, do you have relatives in Texas?

no relatives in texas...and yes...I am with you on the sofa...we got ours at the sofaco...in LA...not expensive...hg has good pillows...but hit or miss at times...you need to go once a week!!

bedroom accent chair...a bit dark...I am not the best photographer

any suggestions on the corner with the fiddle leaf fig? I have the plant there "for now" and my husbands telescope (I am not a fan of it...but "compromise is key" :) I was thinking of a piece of furniture..but I do not want to overwhelm the space with more. esp since the enternatinment center is kind of massive and "boxy" OUr cabinet maker did all of the wood pieces in the house. I was thinking of maybe a floating shelf so that the art doesnt feel like it is hanging in mid air on the wall....something to ground it. But I thought that idea was similar to our mantle...which is also floating.

Rina that was so sweet. and yes we feel very blessed and lucky to live here....This was a labor of love for us...lots of tears...but now we are very very happy! I will post some original photos. You will be amazed!!

I'm laughing because I have a vision of Tinker Bell flying around tapping each room with her wand --- ping! Transformation. If only it worked like that. But no, too much fun would be lost with the sweat and tears.

Love your choice of colors soft and welcoming.
Suggestion pit up to small corner shelves to place your glass bottles and vase on!
They can be painted darker shades of colors you are already using to add a look of monochromatic with depth or white or possibly glass or stainless!
You could also add a tall stand up
Ceramic vase next to the TV on your open end.

Beautiful house and renovation. You need window treatments and pillows to spice it up. The copper items were very nice.
