Do u have room in your closet for all ur things in ur dresser? Looks like u could use the extra room by eliminating ur dresser.

Dresser seems too close to the bed, making the room look crowded. Is there another wall you could put it on? Can you send a pic from another angle...

As soon as I get home I will send a picture from another angle. I will change the bedding too, and I don't have much space for the dresser.

Not enough space in the colset for the dresser.

For starters I would declutter the dresser top and hang the mirror. Next, I would purchase new lamps for your nightstand(s). The one you have there is much too small to balance the headboard (which is cool!). The small lamp could work on the right hand side of your dresser, perhaps atop a few books. I'd also suggest a large area rug that warms the floor visually; something neutral (maybe a natural sisal). Two or three pictures, hung horizontally above your bed, could set a color tone for your room. Your coverlet is neutral and can be kept while you work on defining your style and purchasing the other things you need (add shams and a couple of throw pillows). If it were me, I'd find the artwork first and let it begin the momentum of style and color. Paint might come last and you might decide you like it as it is! Good luck!

If new bedding... Are you painting, and is it currently grey? The 5 x 8 is $80. More photos would be good. Seems a conservative color mix:

For sure a rug. One that will fit under the foot of the bed. Needs to be fairly large to cover as much of the tile as is possible. Tile lacks the cozy factor.

In a small room you should stay away from lots of patterns. They'll overwhelm the room and make it less restful.... Keep with solids or uncomplicated accent patterns.

for me everything seems too dark. it needs to be lightened up or add contrasting colors. You could do this with contrasting art work above the bed, a carpet, or bedding and/or decorative pillows. i agree the bedside lamps are too small. i would like modern hanging lamps above the bedside tables, maybe in a crisp white to contrast the dark wall and lighten the room up a bit. If you need all the items on your bureau maybe place them in a basket or pretty deep tray just to organize them and still leave room uncluttered on your dresser.
