I recently had the opportunity to work with an outstanding team on the renovation of the primary bathroom in my historic 1912 home. From initial design through final construction, the entire project was handled with exceptional precision, craftsmanship, and a deep respect for the home’s original architectural character. The finished bathroom feels as though it has always belonged to the house. It preserves the charm and integrity of this century-old property while introducing modern functionality and a refined sense of elegance. The construction team demonstrated impressive skill and professionalism throughout the process. Their attention to detail ensured that every element was thoughtfully planned and beautifully executed, blending seamlessly with the existing aesthetic. The painters deserve special recognition for their flawless finishes and for carefully restoring the plaster and lath walls in the stairwell, a level of craftsmanship that is increasingly rare. Project management was equally impressive. The renovation was organized, clearly communicated, and completed within the established timeline. I was able to be away from home for more than two months with complete confidence that everything was being expertly managed. A mix of task, ambient, and accent lighting creates both elegance and balance, with double sconces at each end of the vanity providing a dramatic focal point. Strategically placed recessed lighting ensures the space feels bright and inviting without being overwhelming. The oversized double-framed mirror adds a refined touch while enhancing the spa-like feel, and the impressive six-foot-tall medicine cabinet cleverly doubles as a full-length mirror with exceptional storage capacity. An added bonus is the incorporation of eco-friendly features, including water-saving fixtures and energy-efficient lighting, reducing environmental impact without compromising on luxury. Leila is truly a master at achieving this balance. This bathroom remodel has completely redefined our idea of comfort at home. It seamlessly combines stunning design with everyday functionality, resulting in a space that feels both beautiful and efficient.
