Inspiration for a large coastal master carpeted bedroom remodel in Other with blue walls

This beautiful modern condo's main bedroom features handmade fabric brought back from a trip to Guatemala hung above the headboard, with coordinating colors on the bedspread and the bench seat at the foot of the bed, finished in deep blue velvet. Glass lamps and wooden side tables flank the bed for a comfortable evening reading or sleeping.

In the boy’s room, cobalt blue with red accents encompasses the room. Deep blue side tables from Chelsea Editions topped with a softer blue table lamps from Bungalow 5 really brings in a variety of blue tones for a boy while keeping an air of sophistication. Lacquered red frames add a jolt of color and make the room more playful by disrupting all of that blue. The custom made headboard and the window roman shade features Christopher Maya's Toribio fabric available at Holland and Sherry.

Master bedroom with custom green velvet upholstered headboard wall and bed frame. Leather and natural linen nightstands. Brass pendant lighting and integrated dimmer switches.

The master bedroom is a symphony of textures and patterns with its horizontal banded walls, hexagonal ceiling design, and furnishings that include a sunburst inlaid bone chest, star bamboo silk rug and quatrefoil sheers.

This cheerful kids’ bedroom balances fun patterns with thoughtful design. Two twin beds sit beneath a tray ceiling, each accented with a blue, green, and white upholstered headboard that spans the wall. Beige Roman shades softly filter light, while blue-and-white lumbar pillows and yellow-striped Euro shams add playful pops of color. White storage benches at the foot of each bed provide functionality, and a fluffy white area rug completes the space, creating a bright, organized, and inviting bedroom for children. This design scheme blends femininity, sophistication, and the bling of Art Deco with earthy, natural accents. An amoeba-shaped rug breaks the linearity in the living room that’s furnished with a lady bug-red sleeper sofa with gold piping and another curvy sofa. These are juxtaposed with chairs that have a modern Danish flavor, and the side tables add an earthy touch. The dining area can be used as a work station as well and features an elliptical-shaped table with gold velvet upholstered chairs and bubble chandeliers. A velvet, aubergine headboard graces the bed in the master bedroom that’s painted in a subtle shade of silver. Abstract murals and vibrant photography complete the look. A custom bed and bench are the focal points of the cool and calm bedroom. The silver tree side table is by Phillips Collection, and the crystal block lamps are from Visual Comfort (both available at White Birch Studio).

The room is dramatic, with touches of gold lighting sparkling against a deep Urbane Bronze paint, which finishes the incredible double-layer wainscotting trim on opposing ends of the room, as well as the tray ceiling – spectacular! A sand-toned drapery flows across the entire wall of windows, softening the space and perfectly complementing the dark tones in the room.

We built 24" deep boxes to really showcase the beauty of this walk-in closet. Taller hanging was installed for longer jackets and dusters, and short hanging for scarves. Custom-designed jewelry trays were added. Valet rods were mounted to help organize outfits and simplify packing for trips. A pair of antique benches makes the space inviting.
