The goal of this project was to transform the existing decrepit landscape into a newly modern space with the purpose of entertaining family and friends. The clients also wanted a hint of ‘steam-punk’ incorporated into the overall theme.
To achieve the wants and needs of the client a new composite deck was installed with an angular form to maximize space on an already tight backyard with large setbacks. A swim spa was built into the deck and a secret hatch door was installed for any future maintenance. Large angled steps lead you from the deck down to the new random flagstone patio.
A large custom pavilion was installed over the patio to shelter users from the elements. Oversized rough Douglas Fir posts and beams were used along with some black powder coated steel bars to achieve the steam punk theme. Extensive engineering was involved to achieve the cantilevered look and reduce the need for an outside post. Tongue and groove cedar planks make up the ceiling of the structure along with LED pot lights. 3 pieces of sandblasted Eramosa stone acts as a bar area for users in the newly installed hot tub. Lastly a frosted glass privacy screen with LED colour changing lights separates the sitting area under the pavilion and the barbecue area of the deck.
Some existing plants and shrubs were salvaged during construction and were reused in the new low maintenance-planting plan. A new section of fence closes off the backyard for the homeowner’s dogs and a new gate was created with the use of steel bars to mirror the pavilion.

A room that feels both fashionable and welcoming is created by the furniture's clean lines and colorful accents. The luxurious velvet armchair looks like a very cozy place to curl up with a nice book.
The neutral color palette of the walls and furniture, along with the lack of clutter, contributes to a feeling of peace and tranquility. This sense of calm might be amplified by the presence of the plant, which can have a biophilic effect, promoting feelings of relaxation and well-being.
The abstract painting adds a touch of whimsy and personality to the space. It suggests that the inhabitants of this living room aren't afraid to express themselves and might have a creative side.
Overall, the feeling of the living room seems like a balance between modern design and a cozy, inviting atmosphere.

The intent of this was project was to create a porch addition to expand the living area of the house during the warm months of the year. The space accommodates an area for cooking, dining and entertaining. The layout and finishes were chosen to flow with the interior of the home, creating a seamless extension of house. The collar ties add a custom detail making this structure custom and unique.
The built-in kitchen is located directly outside the back door. A small veneer wall creates a separation from the kitchen to the dining table, while also doubling as a seat or serving area for the chef.
The ‘L’ shaped sectional is a cozy sitting area for the family to relax by the new concrete fire table, or to sit in the shade and watch the kids play in the backyard.
The structure is cladded in a PVC material which achieves the clean and simple look that the client was hoping for. The cladding material is also very low maintenance and will continue to look great for many years to come.
Although the client was really drawn to modern design, they wanted to make sure that the porch wouldn’t look out of place with the house. To achieve a look that met their aesthetic requirements, the structure was kept relatively traditional, but a modern flare was achieved with the addition of simple plantings, accents, and natural square cut stepping-stones.

Do you have a bathroom that needs to be updated? We can help with an aesthetic upgrade, whether your bathroom requires a minor repair or a complete renovation.
There are various reasons why you might want to renovate your bathroom. Ultimately, there are three main reasons why most homeowners remodel their bathrooms.
Increasing comfort
Enhancing aesthetic
Increasing the resale value
There are a few things you should think about before beginning the bathroom renovation process if you want to create the bathroom of your dreams. Here are some of the important ones:
Budget:
Your budget should be taken into consideration first. You’ll be better able to make key choices during the renovation process if you’ve established a budget and know exactly how much you’re willing to spend on various products.
Space:
Since bathrooms are typically the smallest rooms in a home, it’s critical to make the most of every square inch that is available. There is nothing more annoying than buying fixtures that don’t fit, so take into account the layout of your bathroom and take precise measurements!
Design and style:
There are many styles and designs that can be achieved in the bathroom, regardless of whether you want it to blend in with the other rooms in your house or be completely different. Whatever style you’re trying to achieve—whether it’s something more traditional or more contemporary—we can assist you.
Accessories:
Small details can make a big difference, which is why you should carefully consider the style of each bathroom accessory you choose. With so many taps, showers, and other bathroom fixtures on the market today, making a decision isn’t as simple as you might think. Therefore, consider the style you want to achieve and make a decision accordingly.
Storage Needs:
If you’re short on space, try to be creative with your storage. Purchase furniture with lots of storage that doesn’t take up more floor space. For instance, vanity units are ideal because they are compact, offer excellent storage, and complement your preferred style.
Utilize your space wisely and creatively. All shampoos and shower gels will be able to be stored in shelving units. Remember to incorporate it in the initial layout.
Heating:
By adding a top-notch heating system, you can keep your bathroom cozy. You can use underfloor heating systems or a conventional radiator. This will raise the temperature in each bathroom, enhancing comfort and warmth.
This is not always a complete list. Many different delicate aspects that make your bathroom modern may require your consideration.
