This remodeling project acquired a new face and interpretation of the spaces by liberating the floor plan. Walls were removed to allow natural light to come into the space. This old split level home was transformed from the inside to the outside.

The homeowners engaged our team in 2022 after acquiring their property in Stone Lake Ranch, partnering with Olivera Custom Homes to bring their vision to life. From the earliest stages of architectural planning, we curated a refined interior design concept that seamlessly integrates timeless elegance with modern sophistication. The finishes, fixtures, and furnishings were thoughtfully selected to create a home that feels both luxurious and effortlessly livable.

The project objective was to create a space to remind the clients of happy travel memories in the Orient and incorporate mementos from along the way. The dining table is a Kathleen Beall original design, created from a terra cotta urn the clients acquired in their travels. Clients who enlisted my services two years ago found a home they loved, but wanted to make sure that the newly acquired furniture would fit the space. They called on K Two Designs to work in the existing furniture as well as add new pieces. The whole house was given a fresh coat of white paint, and draperies and rugs were added to warm and soften the spaces.

Our client has been very fortunate to have acquired some amazing memorabilia over the years. This was our inspiration to create a space to display them and at the same time design a room where both he and his wife can enjoy family photos and work on shared interests. The custom builds were planned to create organization for personal office items and give an inviting atmosphere to come in, sit, read and reflect. Although many design elements are masculine we added a feminine touch with the blush colored chair fabric and custom pillows. A shared desk space is great for collaborating and planning. The fabric covered walls add sophistication and texture. The sofa was placed to invite and enjoy the rest of the family to come in and take part. Custom designed by Hartley and Hill Design. I realized, over the years, that I was drawn to Asian art and antiques, and that I love the color light blue (in the hydrangea, silk pillow and planter). Home Goods rug. Treven had acquired an antique plane propeller and I created a masculine reading corner around the theme. I found an old 8x11 black and white photo of an airman posing on his plane. I had the picture blown up and framed to connect with the aviator theme. Treven's distressed and aged leather arm chair and ottoman were brought to new glory in the arrangement. Treven likes hunting and the Ralph Lauren Inverness Stag Head pillow was a perfect find (at Home Goods) to complement the chair. Early 20th-century-style reading lamp from Ikea and a pop of more modern touch with gold and light blue side table from Target.

Feature In: Visit Miami Beach Magazine & Island Living A nice young couple contacted us from Brazil to decorate their newly acquired apartment. We schedule a meeting through Skype and from the very first moment we had a very good feeling this was going to be a nice project and people to work with. We exchanged some ideas, comments, images and we explained to them how we were used to worked with clients overseas and how important was to keep communication opened. They main concerned was to find a solution for a giant structure leaning column in the main room, as well as how to make the kitchen, dining and living room work together in one considerably small space with few dimensions. Whether it was a holiday home or a place to rent occasionally, the requirements were simple, Scandinavian style, accent colors and low investment, and so we did it. Once the proposal was signed, we got down to work and in two months the apartment was ready to welcome them with nice scented candles, flowers and delicious Mojitos from their spectacular view at the 41th floor of one of Miami's most modern and tallest building. We completely re-imagined two rooms for a Windsor Hills, CA, client who loves Mid Century modern style. She had acquired some nice pieces already, but just didn’t know quite how to pull the entire look together. She also wanted a way to display some of her prized African artifacts. Enter Madison Modern Home, and a brand new living room and dining room began to take shape, complete with a rustic stacked stone fireplace and reclaimed wood mantel to replace the outdated brick and mirror. We sourced bright yellow modern chairs, a cobalt blue rug, kilim and richly textured pillows, Moroccan patterned curtains and new lighting. In the dining room, it was a complete overhaul — featuring a sleek dining table and chairs, original art and an eye-catching three-light pendant.
