Bar space in clients home with collected art items, Although each piece is unique, the space is unified and brought to life by red color palette and use of metallic silver in framing. This is a great example of how to hang personal art collections that have been acquired with time.

Upon acquiring the property, the homeowner faced a compact backyard dominated by a neglected lawn that offered little usability. The ambition was not only to enhance the outdoor space's utility but to inject it with vibrant aesthetics and dynamism through the hardscape. To bring this vision to life, we embraced a palette of colorful materials, choosing multicolored concrete, pavers, and tiles that introduce a playful yet sophisticated charm. Further creativity was applied in the design through the use of curvy lines that flow organically throughout the space, leading the eye and inviting movement. Beach rocks were thoughtfully embedded into decorative bands, adding a tactile and visual texture that complements the curvilinear approach. This strategic combination of color, texture, and form transformed the backyard into a visually stimulating and highly functional outdoor living area.

Presented house was purchased by the current owners a few years ago. The state was acquired from previous owners house was deplorable, with no respect for the history of the house. Meanwhile it has worked to strengthen them and to the construction of a terrace in the attic. They have changed all the finishes, so they meet current standards. However, the owners have wanted to be a classic façade of the house as it was built from the beginning. We congratulate for this choice and we encourage all homeowners to do the same old.

With a vision of a establishing a working farm and finding a bucolic locale for hosting their extended family, a retiring couple acquired 400 acres of gently rolling hills along the Duck River, approximately fifty miles from downtown Nashville. From there, they assembled a talented team of design professionals to reimagine the existing, historic 1800s farmhouse that sat on the property. Completed less than two years ago, the 9,000 sq.ft. home's elegant simplicity offered this family a timeless pastoral retreat - precisely what the owners had in mind. For years, early morning walks past this 1910 Craftsman in Houston's historic Avondale neighborhood left the new owners with lingering fantasies of making it their future home. When it became available, they acquired a home rich with history, but one nearly abolished. The home was once inhabited by Texas Governor (1931-1932) and founder of Humble Oil, Ross Sterling. But, renovations subdivided the home into multi-family rentals and destroyed original finishes. The developer driven modifications were abruptly halted by city red tags in 2018 after original windows were demolished and replaced with vinyl substitutes.
With a nearly clean slate on the interior, the HRDD renovation aims to be respectful to the original context while providing coplimentary modern surprises atypical to the era. One such example is a new opening that punctures through the second floor, extending to a roof skylight. Situated at the transition between formal and informal rooms on the first floor and common space on the second floor, this subtraction is lined with a scalloped wood screen. The screen is one of multiple moments within the home where texture will combine with minimal white surfaces, providing a backdrop to the owners' collection of antique Indian furniture pieces.
Additionally, a new detached replaced an existing dilapidated garage apartment and contains the owner's photography studio. Windows and a skylight are placed to capture coveted north light, ideal for photographing and editing. The main room remains an austere slate, with ceiling vaulting to a single aperture to create a dynamic moment that carries a dialogue to the opening in the main home.

This customer acquired all of his materials from us and took care of the install on his own. The results speak for themselves!

Rutledge Farm in Middleburg, VA reveals the work of an earlier version of Washington, DC’s Blackburn Architects, known in the 1980’s as Smith Blackburn Architects. Today’s pastoral view of fields, creosote fences, historic elms and elegant old barns carries the legacy of the renowned equestrian design practice and client Hermen Greenberg. The architect’s work on the estate has become more beautiful as it has acquired the rich patina of time.

Designing an object was accompanied by certain difficulties. The owners bought a plot on which there was already a house. Its quality and appearance did not suit customers in any way. Moreover, the construction of a house from scratch was not even discussed, so the architects Vitaly Dorokhov and Tatyana Dmitrenko had to take the existing skeleton as a basis. During the reconstruction, the protruding glass volume was demolished, some structural elements of the facade were simplified. The number of storeys was increased and the height of the roof was increased. As a result, the building took the form of a real English home, as customers wanted.
The planning decision was dictated by the terms of reference. And the number of people living in the house. Therefore, in terms of the house acquired 400 m \ 2 extra.
The entire engineering structure and heating system were completely redone. Heating of the house comes from wells and the Ecokolt system.
The climate system of the house itself is integrated into the relay control system that constantly maintains the climate and humidity in the house.

Found object lamps often come with a story. The Neuman Chimney Cleaner is a most clever invention intended to simplify chimney cleaning. The compacted cleaner is suspended from two ropes and lowered down the chimney in its closed form. Pulling up on the control rope causes the prongs to spread, while using the other support rope raises and lowers the cleaner to scrape the chimney walls. Age of this one in unknown, but Orin Neuman of Wittenberg, WI received the original patent in 1930. In 1988, the Schaffer Brush Manufacturing Company in Waukesha, WI acquired the patent rights.
The repurposed ceiling light features included twin clear tubular bulbs and a mechanism to set and lock the flair to suit the intended space. Height is approximately 23 inches, with variable flair from 11 x 7.5 to 18 x 15 inches.
