The best of past and present architectural styles combine in this welcoming, farmhouse-inspired design. Clad in low-maintenance siding, the distinctive exterior has plenty of street appeal, with its columned porch, multiple gables, shutters and interesting roof lines. Other exterior highlights included trusses over the garage doors, horizontal lap siding and brick and stone accents. The interior is equally impressive, with an open floor plan that accommodates today’s family and modern lifestyles. An eight-foot covered porch leads into a large foyer and a powder room. Beyond, the spacious first floor includes more than 2,000 square feet, with one side dominated by public spaces that include a large open living room, centrally located kitchen with a large island that seats six and a u-shaped counter plan, formal dining area that seats eight for holidays and special occasions and a convenient laundry and mud room. The left side of the floor plan contains the serene master suite, with an oversized master bath, large walk-in closet and 16 by 18-foot master bedroom that includes a large picture window that lets in maximum light and is perfect for capturing nearby views. Relax with a cup of morning coffee or an evening cocktail on the nearby covered patio, which can be accessed from both the living room and the master bedroom. Upstairs, an additional 900 square feet includes two 11 by 14-foot upper bedrooms with bath and closet and a an approximately 700 square foot guest suite over the garage that includes a relaxing sitting area, galley kitchen and bath, perfect for guests or in-laws.

This custom hideaway was designed to give our clients the easy access that they need to daily used appliances while allowing them to conceal them in a designer fashion when not in use.

This new modern house is located in a meadow in Lenox MA. The house is designed as a series of linked pavilions to connect the house to the nature and to provide the maximum daylight in each room. The center focus of the home is the largest pavilion containing the living/dining/kitchen, with the guest pavilion to the south and the master bedroom and screen porch pavilions to the west. While the roof line appears flat from the exterior, the roofs of each pavilion have a pronounced slope inward and to the north, a sort of funnel shape. This design allows rain water to channel via a scupper to cisterns located on the north side of the house. Steel beams, Douglas fir rafters and purlins are exposed in the living/dining/kitchen pavilion.

This 1967 home has been transformed. LANTERN HOUSE is located at the edge of the forest, the edge of urbanity, where the glass and metal clad entry and stair volumes glow like lanterns in the night. The sloping, trapezoidal site posed challenges, resulting in a very unique geometry with a courtyard, a bridge, and a new stair tower link old to new. A new porch and foyer create a gradual entry sequence into the existing main house. A new roof form provides vaulted ceilings in an open plan concept. The primary living spaces are connected to private outdoor spaces for entertaining and everyday living, and the main addition contains a private master retreat with secluded access from the stair tower. The connection with nature is ever present throughout the house with intentionally placed glazing framing views to the surrounding trees.

This full kitchen remodel was designed to bring in more light, improve functionality, and create a seamless flow for everyday living.
At the center of the space is a striking porcelain island, serving as both a visual focal point and a highly functional gathering area. A hooded range adds architectural presence, anchoring the kitchen and tying the overall design together. Cabinetry was extended to the ceiling to maximize storage and create a more refined, built-in look, while thoughtful storage solutions were integrated throughout for everyday ease.
To further enhance connection and flow, the back door was reworked to better link the kitchen to the outdoor deck, bringing in additional natural light and improving accessibility.
Beyond the kitchen, the project extended into the adjacent living room, where the fireplace was reimagined with custom built-in shelving and layered ambient lighting. This creates a cohesive transition between spaces, designed for both relaxation and entertaining.
The result is a home that feels elevated, functional, and thoughtfully connected, tailored to how the family lives day to day.

Previous clients had a tradtional Vermont barn added to their Peregrine Design/Build home, that we built in 2020. It's linked to the garage with an exposed timber framed connector.
