A tiny hall bath was dramatically changed from it's 1950s pink origins into a glamorous black and white statement room. A curved front, furniture-style vanity adds needed storage but doesn't crowd the space. Iridescent subway tiles change tone as the light changes. A lighted mirror alleviates the need for sconces and keeps the wall from feeling cluttered. The large scale wallpaper adds lots of drama. Anne Matheis Photography

By installing a four feet high E.P. Henry Coventry Block retaining wall, we were able to level a large area of lawn in the backyard and create a small swale to alleviate the drainage issues the homeowners were facing. The wall arced where it was closest to the patio to create a greater feeling of open space. To either side, we terraced the wall so as not to make it so dominating in the landscape.

The refrigerator and dishwasher were both hidden behind panels to create a more cohesive look and feel. We wanted to avoid calling attention to a large appliance and chose to keep the continuity and warmth of the natural cherry cabinets. After Photo: This new area is stunning. A vent was installed over the Verona stove/oven. It was covered by a wood hood to match the Medallion cabinetry. A Luxart pot filler faucet was then installed above the oven. It is a great appliance as it alleviates the trouble of carrying and possibly spilling water from the sink over to the stove.

The gorgeous soft grey backsplash tiles coordinate beautifully with the countertop. Installing the tiles all the way up to the ceiling, both behind the hood and at the window area, provides uninterrupted, clean lines. Installing a pot filler at the stove area alleviates the need to lug heavy pots of water from the sink to the stove.

A few fixes here: 1. Renovation of concrete curb to create less busy, more aesthetically appealing curvature 2. Expansion of sod area for greater dog run 3. Installation of french drain to alleviate a soggy yard 4. Organization of rocks in swale to create a more pleasing dry river bed.

Pre-existing concrete courtyard entrance. The concrete entrance was originally designed to provide a low maintenance wheel chair friendly entrance. The unintended consequence of positioning the pathway in the lowest part of the courtyard caused water to pool and freeze during the winter creating a very dangerous entrance. A new pocket door that matches the existing condo doors was installed to allow better flow in the Guest bedroom/bathroom spaces. This alleviated the overabundance of doors in the small space, and eliminated the awkwardness of having to close one door before opening another!

Tustin residents can rightfully claim fantastic quality and ambiance while accommodating comfort in their "New Bathroom Remodeling" project. For this Tustin Bathroom Remodeling, the "natural stone look" ceramic tile was desired in the design to alleviate upkeep while keeping elements of a more "Modern look" intact. A Frame less glass shower door was installed with glass liner. The tile is accented with a multi-tone back splash to tie it together. This design utilized the elements of glass, ceramic tile, and raised ceilings, essential to create comfort and space evident in this bathroom remodeling project. This Tustin bathroom remodeling project was an Epic success! The Clients are ecstatic with there new design in Orange County..

This new modern house is located in a meadow in Lenox MA. The house is designed as a series of linked pavilions to connect the house to the nature and to provide the maximum daylight in each room. The center focus of the home is the largest pavilion containing the living/dining/kitchen, with the guest pavilion to the south and the master bedroom and screen porch pavilions to the west. While the roof line appears flat from the exterior, the roofs of each pavilion have a pronounced slope inward and to the north, a sort of funnel shape. This design allows rain water to channel via a scupper to cisterns located on the north side of the house. This wooden area was overgrown and had no functional use for the homeowners. We were able to clear out the area and create useful space for them to enjoy the outdoors. By adding a dry stream bed we alleviated any potential issues with standing water, a mixture of medium river gravel and Glacier boulders were used in this feature. This project also included adding a seating area, a flagstone pathway, using Oakfield steppers, that provides access from the driveway. We added in greenery that is easier for the homeowner to maintain and still gives you the rustic appeal of being in the woods. In the front yard the walkway was completed using Copthorne Liberty pavers and Coral Bells were planted along the entrance.

New side yard path to backyard garden gate is a straight off the driveway. A creative combination of the materials used both in the front and back yard form a path made of brick, pavers and flagstone. The trash cans are screened from the street with an easier access. The gutter drain was buried to alleviate frequent floods in garage.
