One of our favorite projects this year was the remodel of a family home in the upscale neighborhood of University Park, a suburb of Dallas. The clients are well on their way to amassing an impressive art and photo collection, and were looking for a redesign of all the baths, paint and lighting updates throughout the home, and selections of specific furniture pieces in the common areas that would integrate with their existing furniture and art collection.

This Watermill property is the tale of Two Gardens.One a playful, colorful poolside border planted with pink and salmon roses , an array of bright pollinator perennials, annuals, herbs and berries. To enjoy as one stops to view the garden. The shrub and perennial border on the opposite side of the property is amassed with interesting foliage plants of gold and pink hues and native grasses to catch light. A subdued color palette of white, pinks ,blue and creams flowers spring up during the summer season and hellebores, red twig dogwood, evergreen ferns support the space in the quiet of winter.

Engineered cedar siding creates beautiful gray-blue tones at the exterior of the home, while adding a textural element to activate the simple exterior design.

As a world traveler, Lesley has accumulated an extensive collection of personal treasures and artwork. As a lawyer, she has amassed a large library of books. Combine that with a 13-year-old daughter who is a competitive equestrian and you have a diverse assortment of personal and professional passions coming together under one Minneapolis roof. And yet after LiLu carefully listened, we expertly designed a different twist on what others might call Americana.
