This outdoor kitchen has all of the amenities you could ever ask for in an outdoor space! The all weather Nature Kast cabinets are built to last a lifetime! They will withstand UV exposure, wind, rain, heat, or snow! The louver doors are beautiful and have the Weathered Graphite finish applied. All of the client's high end appliances were carefully planned to maintain functionality and optimal storage for all of their cooking needs. The curved egg grill cabinet is a highlight of this kitchen. Also included in this kitchen are a sink, waste basket pullout, double gas burner, kegerator cabinet, under counter refrigeration, and even a warming drawer. The appliances are by Lynx. The egg is a Kamado Joe, and the Nature Kast cabinets complete this space!

A custom home design from the plans to the accessories. This home office is located at the front of the house and the client works hard on her computer but wanted the space to still feel feminine. Using soft greiges and blues, with the addition of wallpaper and gorgeous drapery panels we achieved a clean but lush space.

This Houston, Texas River Oaks home went through a complete remodel of their master bathroom. Originally, it was a bland rectangular space with a misplaced shower in the center of the bathroom; partnered with a built-in tub against the window. We redesigned the new space by completely gutting the old bathroom. We decided to make the space flow more consistently by working with the rectangular layout and then created a master bathroom with free-standing tub inside the shower enclosure. The tub was floated inside the shower by the window. Next, we added a large bench seat with an oversized mosaic glass backdrop by Lunada Bay "Agate Taiko. The 9’ x 9’ shower is fully enclosed with 3/8” seamless glass. The furniture-like vanity was custom built with decorative overlays on the mirror doors to match the shower mosaic tile design. Further, we bleached the hickory wood to get the white wash stain on the cabinets. The floor tile is 12" x 24" Athena Sand with a linear mosaic running the length of the room. This tranquil spa bath has many luxurious amenities such as a Bain Ultra Air Tub, "Evanescence" with Brizo Virage Lavatory faucets and fixtures in a brushed bronze brilliance finish. Overall, this was a drastic, yet much needed change for my client.

The owners acquired an adjacent property and called on our firm and a team of consultants to join the properties into one seamless private park like setting complete with a Pool Pavilion and Pool. A study of light and space, The Pavilion offers different experiences at different times of the day. The optimum display of light and transparency occurs at dusk. At that hour, one can catch the reflections in the pool and the glowing of this small jewel within in the landscape. Amenities include an air conditioned lounging area with TV and kitchen/bar, a laundry and changing room, a private bathroom with shower, an additional outdoor shower and a full basement for storage of pool toys and equipment. The contemporary approach combines rich woods, stainless steel, and concrete with marble, glass tile and natural stones. Cedar shingles, a nod to the main house, recede into the landscape while the soaring glass windows and doors flood the space with light and views back into the landscape. The building also features a bead board ceiling and exposed structure. This blend of materials yields a sophisticated modern design that is calm and cheerful while providing conditioned entertaining space for the Owner’s family and friends. An open house lot is like a blank canvas. When Mathew first visited the wooded lot where this home would ultimately be built, the landscape spoke to him clearly. Standing with the homeowner, it took Mathew only twenty minutes to produce an initial color sketch that captured his vision - a long, circular driveway and a home with many gables set at a picturesque angle that complemented the contours of the lot perfectly. The interior was designed using a modern mix of architectural styles – a dash of craftsman combined with some colonial elements – to create a sophisticated yet truly comfortable home that would never look or feel ostentatious. Features include a bright, open study off the entry. This office space is flanked on two sides by walls of expansive windows and provides a view out to the driveway and the woods beyond. There is also a contemporary, two-story great room with a see-through fireplace. This space is the heart of the home and provides a gracious transition, through two sets of double French doors, to a four-season porch located in the landscape of the rear yard.
