We started with a blank slate on this newly built townhome at the base of the foothills. We utilized a Stone Forest water feature as a focal point for the patio, book ended by a pair of seat walls designed on a slight radius to contain the front of their sand finish concrete patio. The walls were veneered with tumbled San Miguel stone from Telluride and capped with Arizona Buff flagstone carefully chiseled to match the radius of the wall. Subtle landscape lighting is concealed under the wall caps.
To create privacy for their patio and to hide their air conditioner units, we fabricated and installed a system of Ipe and steel screens along the perimeter of the patio. A 13’ diameter Polaris patio umbrella by ShademakerUSA was installed to create ample shade for summer enjoyment of the patio.
To finish off the project and soften all the stonework, we brought in a specimen multi trunk Spring Snow crabapple and utilized Panchito Manzanita and Cranberry Cotoneaster as understory plantings. A lone Bartzella Itoh Peony was planted just off their deck to add a stunning splash of color, and a lush flare to the setting.

We recently completed a breathtaking pool renovation in West Palm Beach, transforming an outdated space into a modern waterfront oasis. The client's vision was to create a pool that complemented the sleek lines of their contemporary home while maximizing their stunning waterfront views. Our team at Epic Watershapes expertly demolished the existing pool and designed a new, larger pool that pushes the boundaries of traditional design.
One of the main challenges was the pool's proximity to the sea channel. Careful planning and engineering were crucial to ensure the structural integrity of the pool and the seamless integration of the infinity edge. The client desired an abundance of water features, which we masterfully incorporated. A flush spa was cleverly integrated within a sundeck, creating a relaxing and visually appealing focal point. Two fire bowls with glass frames add a touch of drama and warmth to the poolside ambiance.
The showstopper is the infinity edge, meticulously engineered to create a seamless transition between the pool and the tranquil water views. The pool's generous size, larger than typical residential pools, provides ample space for swimming and entertaining. The pool deck, featuring elegant porcelain tile, offers a sophisticated and durable surface for lounging and enjoying the Florida sunshine.
This project showcases Epic Watershapes' expertise in creating custom pools that blend seamlessly with their surroundings while exceeding client expectations. From the initial design concept to the final finishing touches, we meticulously attended to every detail, ensuring the highest level of craftsmanship and quality.
Located in beautiful West Palm Beach, this modern poolscape is a testament to our commitment to innovation and client satisfaction. This property has a beautiful street presence, though coniferous screen plantings offer a large degree of privacy to the homeowner.
The highlights of this landscape are found in the rear yard where we took a terraced approach to solve some grading challenges. A long fieldstone retaining wall is anchored on one end by a large built in spa. A centrally located water feature accented with ornamental plantings is a strong point of interest during entertainment and offers tranquil sounds of cascading water.
Bluestone terraces along the length of the house, some covered and others open air, give ample room for guests and variety of options from which to enjoy the rear yard.

For this project, the entire kitchen was designed around the “must-have” Lacanche range in the stunning French Blue with brass trim. That was the client’s dream and everything had to be built to complement it. Bilotta senior designer, Randy O’Kane, CKD worked with Paul Benowitz and Dipti Shah of Benowitz Shah Architects to contemporize the kitchen while staying true to the original house which was designed in 1928 by regionally noted architect Franklin P. Hammond. The clients purchased the home over two years ago from the original owner. While the house has a magnificent architectural presence from the street, the basic systems, appointments, and most importantly, the layout and flow were inappropriately suited to contemporary living.
The new plan removed an outdated screened porch at the rear which was replaced with the new family room and moved the kitchen from a dark corner in the front of the house to the center. The visual connection from the kitchen through the family room is dramatic and gives direct access to the rear yard and patio. It was important that the island separating the kitchen from the family room have ample space to the left and right to facilitate traffic patterns, and interaction among family members. Hence vertical kitchen elements were placed primarily on existing interior walls. The cabinetry used was Bilotta’s private label, the Bilotta Collection – they selected beautiful, dramatic, yet subdued finishes for the meticulously handcrafted cabinetry. The double islands allow for the busy family to have a space for everything – the island closer to the range has seating and makes a perfect space for doing homework or crafts, or having breakfast or snacks. The second island has ample space for storage and books and acts as a staging area from the kitchen to the dinner table. The kitchen perimeter and both islands are painted in Benjamin Moore’s Paper White. The wall cabinets flanking the sink have wire mesh fronts in a statuary bronze – the insides of these cabinets are painted blue to match the range. The breakfast room cabinetry is Benjamin Moore’s Lampblack with the interiors of the glass cabinets painted in Paper White to match the kitchen. All countertops are Vermont White Quartzite from Eastern Stone. The backsplash is Artistic Tile’s Kyoto White and Kyoto Steel. The fireclay apron-front main sink is from Rohl while the smaller prep sink is from Linkasink. All faucets are from Waterstone in their antique pewter finish. The brass hardware is from Armac Martin and the pendants above the center island are from Circa Lighting. The appliances, aside from the range, are a mix of Sub-Zero, Thermador and Bosch with panels on everything.

APD was hired to update the kitchen, powder bathroom, and second floor primary bathroom classical urban townhome. The home had previously undergone some “unfortunate” remodels and our design focus was to reinfuse traditional character back into her bones while adding some modern and truly custom amenities. The traditional layout of the home meant our kitchen was a distinct room (not a great room style layout) and the new space plan took advantage of all four walls of the space. Where an unused chimney previously existed, now stands the concealed and built-in refrigerator while the microwave was hidden within adjacent cabinetry. A custom blue and brass range flanked in black cabinetry, backed by a traditional marble tile inset, and capped with a plaster hood in black to match the cabinetry - providing a seamless transition to the rest of the space. Floating shelves with a brass bar rail and decorative sconces provide both functional and decorative storage.
A huge change was made at the back wall of the kitchen. Windows are topped with decorative sconces with counter height seating below (offering a smooth transition to the deck just outside for entertaining!). Both sides of the window are flanked with ample storage and a food and water station (with pot filler for easy top-off!) was incorporated for the homeowner’s four-legged family member (who was sadly lost before the project completed but sits in loving memory of him and waiting for a new loved one to join the family when their hearts are ready!)

Located on a private quiet cul-de-sac on 0.6 acres of mostly level land with beautiful views of San Francisco Bay and Richmond Bridges, this spacious 6,119 square foot home was expanded and remodeled in 2010, featuring a 742 square foot 3-car garage with ample storage, 879 square foot covered outdoor limestone patios with overhead heat lamps, 800+ square foot limestone courtyard with fire pit, 2,400+ square foot paver driveway for parking 8 cars or basket ball court, a large black pool with hot tub and water fall. Living room with marble fireplace, wood paneled library with fireplace and built-in bookcases, spacious kitchen with 2 Subzero wine coolers, 3 refrigerators, 2 freezers, 2 microwave ovens, 2 islands plus eating bar, elegant dining room opening into the covered outdoor limestone dining patio; luxurious master suite with fireplace, vaulted ceilings, slate balconies with decorative iron railing and 2 custom maple cabinet closets; master baths with Jacuzzi tub, steam shower and electric radiant floors. Other features include a gym, a pool house with sauna and half bath, an office with separate entrance, ample storage, built-in stereo speakers, alarm and fire detector system and outdoor motion detector lighting.

This charming two-story residence in Flowery Branch, GA boasts a range of distinctive elements, such as an outdoor fireplace gracing the front covered porch. This inviting porch showcases an elegant wood-inlaid ceiling and exquisite flagstone flooring. Inside and out, Pueblo-style arched doorways add character to the property, while hardwood flooring extends throughout the entire home.
An expansive open-concept living space seamlessly links the kitchen and the family room. The kitchen showcases a central island enveloped by bespoke cabinetry on three sides, providing ample storage and workspace. Stainless steel appliances are thoughtfully arranged for convenient island access. The family room, complete with a welcoming fireplace, is elegantly designed with a tray ceiling embellished by exposed beams.
In the master bedroom, you'll find a tray ceiling adorned with exposed beams, adding to the room's elegance. The master bath boasts a touch of luxury with his and hers vanities, a freestanding soaking tub, a separate shower featuring an arched entryway, and a private water closet. The generously sized master closet has been thoughtfully designed with ample storage. The outdoor living area has been meticulously designed, offering a spacious two-level sundeck. Furthermore, the daylight basement, bathed in natural light, has been readied for possible future expansion.

When all but the master suite was redesigned in a newly-purchased home, an opportunity arose for transformation.
Lack of storage, low-height counters and an unnecessary closet space were all undesirable.
Closing off the adjacent closet allowed for wider and taller vanities and a make-up station in the bathroom. Eliminating the tub, a shower sizable to wash large dogs is nestled by the windows offering ample light. The water-closet sits where the previous shower was, paired with French doors creating an airy feel while maintaining privacy.
In the old closet, the previous opening to the master bath is closed off with new access from the hallway allowing for a new laundry space. The cabinetry layout ensures maximum storage. Utilizing the longest wall for equipment offered full surface space with short hanging above and a tower functions as designated tall hanging with the dog’s water bowl built-in below.
A palette of warm silvers and blues compliment the bold patterns found in each of the spaces.

In this Modern Rustic Farmhouse kitchen remodel, discover a perfect blend of modern convenience and timeless charm. The kitchen showcases a captivating combination of a white gloss ceramic tile backsplash with rustic brick accents, creating an inviting atmosphere. Enjoy the convenience of a 45" stainless steel workstation sink equipped with a Pre-Rinse Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet and Instant Hot Water Dispenser, perfect for culinary tasks. Custom cabinets offer ample storage while enhancing the rustic aesthetic. Adjacent to the kitchen, the pantry/laundry/mudroom provides practical amenities including coat hooks, lockers, and cozy bench seating, ensuring organization and comfort. Meanwhile, the bathroom exudes tranquility with serene white gloss ceramic tile shower walls and durable Calabasas Porcelain floor tile, completing the cohesive and welcoming ambiance of this thoughtfully designed space.
