This young family moved to a lake community full time during Covid. They then wanted to allow the home to become a true year round home over the former weekend house. They wanted to open up the kitchen to allow views from the sink and new island to the views of the lake outside of the living area. The homeowner also wanted an desk area for herself and a walk in pantry. I also took 10' out of their huge garage area and created a large mudroom and laundry room. The staircase was hidden behind a bookcase wall, not at all ideal with two young children up there. I opened that all up right off of the back end of the kitchen. Their house now flows much better and they love their new spaces!

The kitchen of a new Mediterranean/Transitional style home in Atlanta. Features include custom wood cabinetry (Sherwin Williams Elder White) to the ceiling with soft close feature, quartz countertops (Quartzite Calacatta), stone backsplash (3x6 Valentino White Tile), under cabinet lighting, stainless steel farm sink, and DCS stainless steel appliances including 48" gas range, double drawer dishwasher and double door refrigerator. The huge island overlooks the family room and houses the Sharp Microwave Drawer. The wall color is Popular Gray Flat (SW 6071). This laundry room offers so much more then just cleaning. Thermador fridges and a substantial amount of storage makes it easy to store items. The gray cabinets with the slate herringbone floors makes this laundry room a one of kind. Laundry room - mid-sized traditional single-wall porcelain tile laundry room idea in Austin with an undermount sink, raised-panel cabinets, white cabinets, beige walls and a side-by-side washer/dryer

We redesigned this client’s laundry space so that it now functions as a Mudroom and Laundry. There is a place for everything including drying racks and charging station for this busy family. Now there are smiles when they walk in to this charming bright room because it has ample storage and space to work!

Drying racks from Ballard Design were used opposite the side by side washer and dryer in this laundry room/mudroom combination. Dark stained maple cabinets were used with cambria quartz countertops.

These homeowners came to us to design several areas of their home, including their mudroom and laundry. They were a growing family and needed a "landing" area as they entered their home, either from the garage but also asking for a new entrance from outside. We stole about 24 feet from their oversized garage to create a large mudroom/laundry area. Custom blue cabinets with a large "X" design on the doors of the lockers, a large farmhouse sink and a beautiful cement tile feature wall with floating shelves make this mudroom stylish and luxe. The laundry room now has a pocket door separating it from the mudroom, and houses the washer and dryer with a wood butcher block folding shelf. White tile backsplash and custom white and blue painted cabinetry takes this laundry to the next level. Both areas are stunning and have improved not only the aesthetic of the space, but also the function of what used to be an inefficient use of space.
