A large covered porch with a gas fireplace spans the backside of this house. Lots of space for a sitting area and dining area, all overlooking a beautiful treed ravine.

This kitchen was a huge transformation. Dark luxury vinyl plank flooring from the back door through the kitchen. Off white cabinets, deep blue island and light countertops. White subway tile along the perimeter cabinets, with an accent tile behind the stainless steel hood and above the range. Before, the kitchen was outdated and was very closed off from the living room. The homeowners wanted to open the space up so it was a great space for entertaining. In order to optimize the space and make this happen, we did a few things.. 1) Removed the wall separating the kitchen from the dining room 2) Removal of the ceiling in the kitchen and dining room so it was one level and height maximized 3) Drywalled in a window that was out to the 3 seasons room This allowed us to maximize the space for a lot of cabinets, storage, and functionality. The biggest feature of this new kitchen is the 10‘ wide two toned island with overhangs on all sides, allowing for 5 to 6 seats along the backside. The homeowners did a wonderful job with their selections, adding their special touches with décor and even a few projects of their own to finish out their new kitchen space!

In this small bathroom we redesigned the layout for a better functioning bathroom, we removed the existing bath tub and installed a larger shower area. The shower walls are Caraway Ironstone cultured marble that included a larger shower caddy and decorative chair rail around the glass block window. 3/8” Clear glass TruFit shower enclosure, 72” tall one swing door and stationary panel. Kohler 60”x36” white shower base and coordinating shower drain. Waypoint 450S in Maple wood with Mocha Glaze stain vanity and built in cabinetry was installed with Giallo Ornamental granite countertops with a white undermount china sink and back/side splashes. A Kichler 3 light bath sconce in Olde Bronze finish and Broan ventilation fan with light was installed in the shower area. White ergo height compact elongated Gerber toilet, Delta shower with handheld combo shower head, Delta widespread two handle faucet, 18” towel bar, robe hook and toilet paper holder in Venetian bronze. The flooring is Emblem 7”x20” tile in Summerwheat brown wood look.

Because space is tight with the fridge, adding cabinets to to the backside of the island proved more useful than the old overhang for counter stools.

This private residence and backyard retreat in Dallas, Texas features an expansive natural pool and water feature with the addition of a new outdoor pool pavilion for outdoor entertaining. This new pavilion features detailed wood columns, a slate roof, stone fireplace, Big Ass fan, built-in seat benches and an outdoor shower on the backside. Lush landscaping and a personal putting green are also additional amenities provided to this outdoor space.

This gorgeous warm kitchen is so inviting with its maple stained cabinets and Taj Mahal countertops with full backsplash and waterfall at the island. We extended the upper cabinets and put in bronze glass fronts, floor to ceiling pantry cabinets in butler's pantry, under cabinet lighting, power bars, trash pullout, base cabinet rollouts, tray dividers, and a lazy susan. We added a cabinet above the refrigerator with lift hinges, a Tiered Liquor Pullout at the dry bar, Subzero and Wolf Appliances, a beautiful Custom Metal Hood, Custom door panels for dishwasher, and Custom door panels on backside of island.

The original 1960s kitchen cabinets were still in the home when I started work but the owner had added the granite on top of them. The existing cabinets were moldy and damaged beyond repair I replaced them with shaker style Armstrong cabinets and replaced the granite since it was still in good condition. I added bead board on the backside of cabinets under the peninsula and on the other side near the eat-in breakfast area. The cabinets were designed with a built-in bookshelf and pantry on the right side of the fridge to allow for additional food storage. As you can see the cabinets open from the large side of the cabinet so that they can easily be accessed. This maximizes the space available for the home owner instead of having to struggle with a small opening. New lighting was added and two of the existing can lights were switched to add pendant lighting over the peninsula. Photo Credit: Kimberly Schneider

Inspiration for a pool remodel in Orange County

This Italian wine grotto-inspired mural explores a new way of grouting mosaics using a light source. This mosaic was made on clear acrylic using clear silicone and sealed within clear epoxy resin. The original drawing printed on transparency film and adhered to the backside of the glass mosaic. See images for a better understanding.. This kitchen has a hidden pantry, all new appliances, Mont Blanc Quartzite Countertops, flash White 3x12 backsplash, a custom hood, floating Shelves with backlighting, under cabinet lighting, spice and utensil pullout, trash pullout, tray dividers above refrigerator, storage on the backside of the island

Completed in 2020, this impressive luxury estate was went through a complete renovation of the house and the entire property and gardens. This expansive estate creates a private oasis and retreat in the middle of Dallas. The estate includes a private lake with fountain features and stocked with fish, impressive entry gates, an expansive new driveway and front motor court arrival area, grand steps, stone retaining walls and a meandering path that wraps around the lake and offers a wonderful walking experience around the property. The gardens are spectacular and feature a variety of blooming shrubs, perennials and flowers to create a year round experience of color and texture for the owners. The perimeter of the property features mature privacy hedges and trees strategically placed to enhance the views from the house, while still providing glimpses into the property for the neighborhood. The existing swimming pool was completely renovated to create a tanning shelf for chaise lounges as well as a decorative tile, new plaster and canon fountain jets along the side to provide additional interest. The pool terrace, walkways and all exterior patios feature a beautiful limestone material that dresses up the outside living areas. Adjacent to the pool, the existing cabana structure was redone to create an outdoor kitchen and bar seating for friends and family. The wrap around porches on the backside of the house create inviting spaces for entertaining and offer incredible vistas overlooking the gardens and lake. In addition to the expansive garden areas, we planted dozens of mature and specimen trees throughout the property to help provide an instant impact and to also provide the garden another layer of beauty in the fall with the various fall colors offered by the tree selections. Along side the lake, we created multiple seating areas that offer the owners the opportunity to entertain and enjoy the property from many different angles and at different times of day. A large fire pit terrace was also included beside the lake creating a spectacular experience of water and fire. We also created recreation areas on the property for kids and adults alike. There is a dedicated playground areas with a large swing set for the kids as well as a new putting and chipping green to practice your short game.

This pool is simply beautiful. We worked closely with this customer in every aspect of this design. Through thoughtful layout and carefully selected finishes, we created a space that is balanced and flows well with the home. These concrete pavers act as a bridge, physically, visually and texturally to the softer shell stone coping around the cool pool from the existing concrete slab beneath the house. There was a good bit of slope in the backyard that we worked to minimize the impact from using turf that was carefully sloped toward the outer edges of the yard. This lead to a step up into the pool from the backside, but we made sure that it was an easy flow all around.
