This guest bedroom has been transformed into a perfect private area for guests to stay while they visit.

The first bedroom was created using the former living space and offers maximum sleeping capacity. With two queen beds, this room offers everything guests need, complete with a custom, built-in nightstand that camouflages what was previously an unsightly, but necessary gas shutoff. This custom furniture piece is so perfectly suited for the space, you’d never guess it is serving another function in addition to being a beautiful night stand. This 1920s basement’s low ceilings and ductwork were seamlessly integrated throughout the space. In this bedroom, we were especially concerned with a small section of ductwork and how to integrate into the design. Lacking a closet space, a simple section of black pipe creates a natural spot to hang clothing, while also feeling cohesive with the overall design and use of pipe detail in common areas.

Designed as a comfortable retreat for guests and extended family, this basement bedroom balances warmth, function, and timeless style. Rich wood tones, soft textiles, and layered bedding create a welcoming atmosphere that feels cozy without sacrificing sophistication. Thoughtfully selected furnishings maximize comfort while maintaining an open and uncluttered feel, making the space equally suited for overnight visitors or everyday use. Natural textures and warm neutral hues connect the bedroom to the home's overall contemporary design aesthetic, proving that lower-level spaces can feel just as inviting and beautifully designed as the main living areas above.

Dual fully upholstered queen size bed are finished with custom bedding and individual reading lights. At the foot of each bed is an upholstered storage ottoman. A peek into the Loft Bath shows the custom glazed shower tile. The area rug runner is available locally through Archeo in Key West.

Replaced unfinished basement stairs with finished stairs. Build a finished bedroom and recreational room in keeping with the level of finish upstairs, thus a feels more like a continuation of living space as compared to entering a basement.
