Top pleated Draperies with decorative hold backs gives a contemporary flare to this dining room’s bay area. The use of silk draperies and the Silhouette shades both soften the bay area’s geometric architecture, and bring in a pop of elegance and sophistication. The color gold of the silk fabric places emphasis on the bay area altogether, creating an attractive dining ambience.

Renovating a kitchen in an old house the challenge is always space. This was solved in this case by adding an addition for a bay window and recessed the clean up sink into the space. The window was raised by 10” over the standard height in order to increase natural light. The refrigerator wall was pushed 24” into the adjacent space which created the proper spacing for island and walkways, as well as centering the island on the adjacent dining room. Ample space and symmetry were achieved through this renovation. Richly hued traditional kitchen achieved through warm wood custom cabinetry and multiple levels of light. Under cabinet down lighting as well as recessed task lighting and stepped up ceiling with up lighting all combine to give warm and vibrancy to this historic home. A large center island provides prep space and seating while a bank of natural windows at the sink wall gives ample natural light.

This modern farmhouse located outside of Spokane, Washington, creates a prominent focal point among the landscape of rolling plains. The composition of the home is dominated by three steep gable rooflines linked together by a central spine. This unique design evokes a sense of expansion and contraction from one space to the next. My client wanted to update the look of her living,dining and family rooms. She wanted to replace the swags and cascades in the bay windows with something more current. Since the bays were in the front of the house we created a consistent look from the street while still giving each space its own personality. Kent and Terry’s preexisting bay living window allowed an expanded view of their neighborhood and also invited copious amounts of natural light into their living room. However, it had reached the end of its lifespan and was drafty and not as aesthetically pleasing as it had once been. In order to address these concerns, we suggested the installation of a new SeasonGuard triple pane angle bay window. Comprised of vinyl, SeasonGuard bay windows are low-maintenance and easily open and close. Colonial grids in the double hung flankers added both interest and curb appeal. Kent and Terry opted for a white interior and exterior which provided a contemporary look.

Pleasant Heights is a newly constructed home that sits atop a large bluff in Chatham overlooking Pleasant Bay, the largest salt water estuary on Cape Cod. - Two classic shingle style gambrel roofs run perpendicular to the main body of the house and flank an entry porch with two stout, robust columns. A hip-roofed dormer—with an arch-top center window and two tiny side windows—highlights the center above the porch and caps off the orderly but not too formal entry area. A third gambrel defines the garage that is set off to one side. A continuous flared roof overhang brings down the scale and helps shade the first-floor windows. Sinuous lines created by arches and brackets balance the linear geometry of the main mass of the house and are playful and fun. A broad back porch provides a covered transition from house to landscape and frames sweeping views. - Inside, a grand entry hall with a curved stair and balcony above sets up entry to a sequence of spaces that stretch out parallel to the shoreline. Living, dining, kitchen, breakfast nook, study, screened-in porch, all bedrooms and some bathrooms take in the spectacular bay view. Inspiration for a timeless beige two-story wood gable roof remodel in Boston

Wow! Patio Lane recently fabricated a supersized bench cushion - a real stunner in this bay window seat using Duralee Grey Royal Palm with a Sunbrella Canvas Granite double welt. At nearly 13 feet long along the front edge, a truly custom cushion was needed for this trapezoid-shaped space. Blackened stainless cladding for home we did extensive steel and iron modern details on. The blackening is a hand-rubbed process that ages the metal and makes it look more antique, but because it is stainless it will not rust or otherwise cause discoloring to the home or patio.

The master bathroom remodel was done in continuation of the color scheme that was done throughout the house. Large format tile was used for the floor to eliminate as many grout lines and to showcase the large open space that is present in the bathroom. All 3 walls were tiles with large format tile as well with 3 decorative lines running in parallel with 1 tile spacing between them. The deck of the tub that also acts as the bench in the shower was covered with the same quartz stone material that was used for the vanity countertop, notice for its running continuously from the vanity to the waterfall to the tub deck and its step. Another great use for the countertop was the ledge of the shampoo niche.

This room is all about the outdoors. Client wanted to soften the room without blocking the view. To accomplish this, we made each panel 1 1/2 widths of fabric and added an inset solid band on lead edges to frame the windows.
