Finally the new Grow Native planting area slowly being implemented over a period of years (not all are natives, as some plants existed here before this native effort on my part). My goal is to grow natives here as dense and self propagating as I have done in the front sunny planting beds shown in other photo sets. This one has just started in 2012-14. I allow the creeping jenny to jump the brick edger into the lawn, add an interesting natural blend and blur of planter bed and turf, just how nature want to behave.

The countertop is Super White hard marble in this beautiful kitchen!

Why Super White is a hard marble and not a quartzite:
It mostly does perform like a quartzite or a granite. It’s a great stone. Geologically it does have some calcium carbonate & thus is a marble. A very hard marble. Even so, we have never noticed it etch, but since there’s some calcium carbonate we call it what it is – marble.
Some marbles are much harder than others, and the same goes for quartzite. Geologically speaking, it contains the mineral calcium carbonate, which is a defining feature of marble. However, it’s an extremely hard marble with a very low risk of etching or staining. In other words, it behaves like a quartzite.
You can only really be sure you are getting a hard or soft marble by going to a reputable stone supplier. We are the ones importing the stone directly and are knowledgeable about where the stone is coming from and what minerals it contains. We like all of our stones and we want you to be happy with the long term final outcome of your project!

Only the best-behaved children are allowed here. For this is Dad's special retreat; a cozy get away for working on the computer or simply recharging. With this room's rich paisley wool fabrics, tribal -inspired rug and classic furniture. It's the place Dad loves to go. Problem is, he's not the only one.

Bridge overlooking the lower level of the backyard was a lovely touch to have the waterfall flow right underneath it. This is a pondless waterfall, meaning there is no sitting water or pool at the end of the stream. It behaves as a fountain would, recycling the water to the top without. Limited maintenance needed.

This kitchen blends two different finishes, materials, and colors together beautifully! The sheer contrast between both stones really highlights the island.

A daylilly assortment grow in a sunny border on a parkway. These spread nicely but are much better behaved than the species. The larger varieties are El Desperado and Mauna Loa. The smaller ones are a unique rust/orange color and are unidentifiable.

When the holidays arrive at home, include a room decorated to celebrate the peace and joy of the season. Lights go low and calm prevails as you hope for some softly falling snow outside. Here, a tree is dressed in shimmer instead of fuss, the graphic chairs that don’t believe in behaving, brass catching the glow just right, and a Moroccan lantern doing what it does best by casting a little magic after dark.
