This remarkable freestanding elliptical staircase creates a spectacular architectural moment. Three flights rise gracefully through the house, featuring soft light-stained oak treads and handrail that blend seamlessly with the home's hardwood flooring. Crisp white stringers and risers provide a clean foundation, allowing the natural wood warmth to shine. The defining feature is the geometric black wrought-iron balusters. It is the contrast between organic curves and precise geometry, natural wood and forged metal, that creates a staircase that's both elegant and dramatic.

Located in the picturesque San Luis Drive neighborhood, the Okimoto Residence was a major remodel and addition. What started as a minor facelift, the project underwent a series of design iterations to address the growing family's needs. The clients wanted a clean and contemporary home that wouldn't stick out in this typically traditional San Luis Obispo neighborhood.
The final design was a 4 bedroom home with a large great room and play room. A 9' x 16' pocketing slider door opens the great room to the lush backyard which sits directly adjacent to the San Luis Creek. Smooth trowel stucco, a standing seam metal roof, and a texas limestone clad spine wall blend seamlessly with the warmer trim accents and clear cedar eaves. On the interior, the thoughtfully selected finishes provide a clean and inviting space that compliment the young, growing family's lifestyle.

As part of a front entry remodel, the family gains a U-shape driveway of concrete pavers. This blends seamlessly into a stone paver walkway that leads to the new covered porch and front door, which has a zero-clearance floor jamb. All is designed for ease of access, the kind of universal design that benefits all who visit the house.

This freestanding staircase acts as a sculptural centerpiece for the home, while preserving unobstructed views of the surrounding mountain landscape and beautiful vaulted wood ceilings. Vertical black metal rods create a minimalist balustrade that maintains sightlines while providing safety and structure. Natural oak treads and handrails blend seamlessly with the home's warm hardwood flooring, creating visual continuity from floor to floor. The open design proves that a staircase can connect levels without interrupting the flow of light, views, or the home's connection to its natural setting.

Retractable Screens for Year-Round Comfort
These Montgomery homeowners were looking to add a year-round outdoor living space that blended seamlessly with their house. We crafted a four-season room with remote-controlled screens that can go up and down with a touch of a button. Now, even in cold Ohio winters, the homeowners and their guests can enjoy this beautiful outdoor oasis — no space heater required. Click the link below for more views of this project.

This Sammamish outdoor living project features a custom multi‑angle deck design paired with a vaulted roof cover built for year‑round use in the Pacific Northwest. The homeowners wanted a space that felt open, architectural, and protected from Sammamish’s frequent rain and shade—while blending seamlessly with the home’s existing structure.
We designed and built a dual‑angle vaulted roof with exposed architectural elements, integrated soffits, and clean trim details to create a finished, modern look. The covered structure provides excellent weather protection while allowing natural light to filter in, making the space usable in every season.
The deck was finished with TimberTech/Azek Dark Hickory, a premium PVC material ideal for moisture‑heavy environments like Sammamish. This low‑maintenance decking resists rot, mold, and fading, making it a long‑lasting solution for PNW homes surrounded by trees.
Additional upgrades included:
• Smart lighting integration for evening ambiance
• Outdoor heating options for year‑round comfort
• Powder‑coated aluminum railing for a modern, open feel
• Improved waterproofing and flashing to protect the home’s exterior
• Structural enhancements to support the vaulted cover and multi‑angle layout
This project showcases how thoughtful design, premium materials, and proper construction practices can transform a shaded Sammamish backyard into a functional, beautiful outdoor living space.

In the core of downtown Toronto, the client had recently purchased a condo into the luxury 55 Stewart Building/Thompson Hotel. The unit was a bit warn-in and was in need of some updating from the previous owner. We started with a fresh paint job throughout the unit to add a bit more of personal touch to the unit. Kitchen cabinetry was updated as well to keep with the tons of the unit along with new light features above the island.
The monochromatic palate of the unit keeps it very neutral but brings in warmth with some textured materials and greenery. Soft lighting fits the space exceptionally well to maintain the feel in the evening. The mix of marble, black matte metal and dark wood furniture blends seamlessly together. And with keeping storage furniture open allows for more light to come through and make the space feel much bigger than it really is.

The homeowners envisioned a renovation that would honour the home's original character while enhancing its functionality for modern living. Together, these carefully selected elements create visual continuity, allowing the renovated spaces to blend seamlessly with the original home.

Reconfiguring the existing layout maximized every square foot, creating a more efficient and functional kitchen without compromising its character. Designed for everyday living, the kitchen incorporates thoughtful storage solutions and smart organization while preserving the timeless architectural details that define the home.
