This bathroom was done in historical Meridian Kessler. The design is inspired by already existing Arabian style arches in the doorways of this 100 year old house. In staying true to the period of the house and being that it is the master bathroom we went with tuxedo color theme. we used traditional white subway tile on the walls with a black and gray listello border that highlights the contour of the arch before continuing to wrap the perimeter of the bathroom along it's baseboard. This design was an exercise in listening to the house.

In this landscape design for the owners of this Spicewood, TX house, we created a pebble border to highlight this part of the yard. The river rock border highlights the trees. We also planted succulents which help to add more interest to the areas in between the trees. We surrounded the large succulent with the same type of pebble, which helps to pull the whole design together. The planters attached to wooden logs of various heights also add a different look.

This large updated mid century home was recently renovated again with a large expansion to create a home with a real resort vibe…especially in the back facing a large expansive yard bordered by a large structural privet hedge. We created a rythmic border in the front years ago with boxwoods, panicular hydrangea and purple blooming Siberian Iris. Great effort was taken to prune out artfully the massive old weeping Jap. Maple and to underplant and highlight it with “Autumn” Fern and low growing perennials. In the back where a huge hill was created, we used Rhodos, Hydrangeas and Winter Jasmine punctuated with masses of Sedum and other low maintenance perennials. On the lower borders we used reblooming “Encore” Azaleas and boxwoods for structure and color. Italian Cypress were planted in large planters with climbing wine grapes to grow across the elevated porches. Tree-Formed Hydrangeas were strategically planted for vertical interest in the borders and in planters on the upper terrace.

This concrete patio was integrally colored, stamped with a "rock face" texture, scored into diamonds(resembling tiles- its not this is 100% concrete), and engraved with medallion and border highlights.

Designed by Risa Boyer and built by Hammer & Hand, this comprehensive external and internal remodel updated the home with an open layout featuring clean, modern stylings throughout and custom cabinetry by Ben Klebba of Phloem Studio. The team transformed a dark side room into a luminous sunroom overlooking Oswego Lake, designed to highlight a large stained glass window created by the homeowner’s family. A new enclosed garden breezeway connects the house to the freestanding garage, where H&H added a creative work space.
