We started the design with the wallpaper. It met the owner's requirement to be bold, colorful and include a little whimsy. The stripe on the chairs is a way to balance the enormous amount of detail in the wallpaper because without it, your eye would be drawn only to the wallpaper. The chairs, tables, and accessories are all custom made by Architexture.

Open to the other living areas is a beautiful dining space. Sunny natural light from the walls of windows brightens the room. This room features handmade furniture from Mortise & Tenon, as well as antiques and other furnishings procured by the designer.

A talented interior designer was ready for a complete redo of her 1980s style kitchen in Chappaqua. Although very spacious, she was looking for better storage and flow in the kitchen, so a smaller island with greater clearances were desired. Grey glazed cabinetry island balances the warm-toned cerused white oak perimeter cabinetry.
