For many, Las Vegas is a destination that transports you away from reality. The same can be said of the thirty-nine modern homes built in The Bluffs Community by luxury design/build firm, Blue Heron. Perched on a hillside in Southern Highlands, The Bluffs is a private gated community overlooking the Las Vegas Valley with unparalleled views of the mountains and the Las Vegas Strip. Indoor-outdoor living concepts, sustainable designs and distinctive floorplans create a modern lifestyle that makes coming home feel like a getaway.
To give potential residents a sense for what their custom home could look like at The Bluffs, Blue Heron partnered with Cantoni to furnish a model home and create interiors that would complement the Vegas Modern™ architectural style. “We were really trying to introduce something that hadn’t been seen before in our area. Our homes are so innovative, so personal and unique that it takes truly spectacular furnishings to complete their stories as well as speak to the emotions of everyone who visits our homes,” shares Kathy May, director of interior design at Blue Heron. “Cantoni has been the perfect partner in this endeavor in that, like Blue Heron, Cantoni is innovative and pushes boundaries.”
Utilizing Cantoni’s extensive portfolio, the Blue Heron Interior Design team was able to customize nearly every piece in the home to create a thoughtful and curated look for each space. “Having access to so many high-quality and diverse furnishing lines enables us to think outside the box and create unique turnkey designs for our clients with confidence,” says Kathy May, adding that the quality and one-of-a-kind feel of the pieces are unmatched.
rom the perfectly situated sectional in the downstairs family room to the unique blue velvet dining chairs, the home breathes modern elegance. “I particularly love the master bed,” says Kathy. “We had created a concept design of what we wanted it to be and worked with one of Cantoni’s longtime partners, to bring it to life. It turned out amazing and really speaks to the character of the room.”
The combination of Cantoni’s soft contemporary touch and Blue Heron’s distinctive designs are what made this project a unified experience. “The partnership really showcases Cantoni’s capabilities to manage projects like this from presentation to execution,” shares Luca Mazzolani, vice president of sales at Cantoni. “We work directly with the client to produce custom pieces like you see in this home and ensure a seamless and successful result.”
And what a stunning result it is. There was no Las Vegas luck involved in this project, just a sureness of style and service that brought together Blue Heron and Cantoni to create one well-designed home.

TraceyJordan CollectionThe founders of The TraceyJordan Collection worked closely with architect Michael Karr & craftsman Scott Walker to create a lakeside master suite that smartly utilized the available space to create a serene, spa like retreat.
The sleeping area of the master suite is elegantly furnished with a king sized upholstered bed, rustic industrial furnishings, an electric fireplace capable of warming the room independent of the central climate control systems and original works of art by Loui Jover and others.
Comfort & a peaceful night sleep is essentially guaranteed by the 1000 thread count linens, designer pillows, a plush down comforter all accompanying the Posturepedic Hybrid Elite Plush Mattress.
For those who require a little entertainment prior to falling asleep, the master suite is also equipped with a 50" 1080p LED smart TV, Direct TV and high speed internet.
The suite also features a full sized, custom walk in closet carefully designed to accommodate everything from dresses to sweatshirts to a robust shoe collection.
Perhaps the most endearing feature of the master suite however is the private, four season, sun room accessible through the french doors. Tastefully decorated, the space features two plush chairs with unobstructed views of the Lake. It's a perfect place to enjoy a book and / or morning coffee.

White Sands Coastal DevelopmentOne of two homes of a bicoastal television producer, this penthouse showpiece occupies the top story of a building nestled at the base of the Hollywood Hills. It offers panoramic views of Sunset Strip and mixes one-of-a-kind custom pieces with more casual retail pieces, to create a comfortable, contemporary home.
The 2-bed, 2-bath nods to California coastal vibe, while also reflecting its West Hollywood locale. It juxtaposes organic materials—such as a stunning sunburst wood wall covering and a jute living room rug, handwoven in India—with more industrial pieces, like the hand-cut antique mirror tiles in the dining space. The dining table, chairs and leather banquette are all custom, as are the living room easy chairs and the raffia-covered beds. This eclectic space reads as both cozy and capable.
Love Your Room LLCMy client, who works from home full time in Allentown Pennsylvania, asked us to give her an office space that functions well for a hard working accountant, AND would also be a retreat for her during off work hours. Our solution: Split the room down the middle; half office and half lounge area. We tied the spaces together through color (her obsession with teal and pink). We refaced the fireplace and added a built in bookcase to house her love of books. A very capable desk keeps her organized. We gave her a creative way to display her kids artwork and medals from her triathlon competitions using chicken wire frames. b^LUX Design Build, Inc.The addition of a large deck + canopy combined with a ground level pool overlooking the cascading canyons was a perfect compliment to an existing property.
Its natural setting carries a private feeling, yet is capable of larger entertainment as well.
The choice of slab stone pavers between the deck and pool area are used in the edge detailing, the hot tub and into the planters. The dark grey color of the pools texturing brings out the deep colors of blue to mimic the sky and with no large obstructions keeps the expansive views intact.

EcoRegionsThis outdoor kitchen is an entertainer's dream! This client wanted a large outdoor kitchen where they had the capability to cook an entire meal for their entire extended family. As a result this kitchen features a large 48" grill, full-size refrigerator, double sink with garbage disposal, ample storage, 60" commercial grade stove and oven, and a massive 10 foot industrial vent hood.
As an avid LSU Football fan, this client wanted a specially designed outdoor entertainment system, complete with multiple televisions, outdoor speakers, and a subwoofer in order to enjoy the game from anywhere in their outdoor space.
Another feature that this client desired was an area to hang their outdoor porch swing. Tucked away among the landscaping is a natural stone patio, complete with a Cypress arbor and antique sugar kettle.

A cozy sofa is oriented toward the fireplace to anchor the seating arrangement, flanked by two swivel chairs that enhance conversation and flexibility within the room. A repurposed bookcase has been creatively transformed into a functional bar, expanding the entertaining capabilities beyond a traditional bar cart while adding character and layered utility to the design.
Original traditional wall sconces were preserved to maintain the home's architectural integrity and sense of continuity. To modernize and elevate the lighting scheme, a dramatic contemporary fixture was introduced, creating a refined juxtaposition of classic and modern design elements. This layered lighting approach enhances ambiance, highlights key architectural features, and brings a fresh, updated sophistication to the lounge while honoring its original character.

Evoscapes, Luxury Landscape Design and BuildNestled on a challenging steep, rocky incline with breathtaking ocean vistas, this backyard was initially nearly unusable due to its limited flat areas. The homeowner's vision was to transform it into a multifunctional space capable of hosting large gatherings of family and friends. The transformative design boasts four terraced decks: two featuring cozy fire pits, one equipped with a hot tub perfectly positioned for sunset viewing, and another for daytime relaxation, alongside a hidden deck designed especially for children's play. The space is further enhanced with an outdoor kitchen, a cascading water feature adorning the slope, seating nestled under a waterproof deck, and built-in wooden seating with cleverly integrated storage, all centered around a playful and inviting pool.
