Featuring multiple star systems, this home is designed around its observatory tower. A straight run stair connects the main home to the tower, featuring custom millwork that preserves the open sightlines. The tower itself houses a wooden spiral stair with white oak treads seamlessly integrated into the metal structure. A switchback stair with coordinating white oak and wrought iron balusters rounds out the design. 1976-2025 © Century Stair Company

The homeowners selected the balusters to give elegance to the foyer entrance and also enabled a clear view of the pool. The floor plan had a wall at the top of the landing (to the right); it had to be removed to install the air handler; did not replace; instead added more railing.

A second home for a large family. The brief was to completely furnish, accessorise and provide draperies. This was our second project for this client and his family of five daughters. From start to finish the project took ten months to complete. An initial site visit in June followed by a two week installation in March of the following year. Most items were custom made. Everything was chosen with constant family consultation and agreement.
