This dining room turned playroom turned homework/music room has a collected feel to it. Beautiful grasscloth walls, a soft warm gray and textured white curtains provide a neutral backdrop to fun pops of color. A reupholstered cane wingback in a funky colorful pattern, an antique Canadian Public School chair, a gallery wall filled with all sorts of treasured and DIY items, layered rugs and Louis ghost chairs all work together to give this space a unique, collected vibe. NSD created a traditional dining room space for our client who wanted the formality of a traditional dining room with the freshness of a modern space.

At the far end of the building, the "sitting room" is a quiet, contemplative space that seems almost hidden from the rest of the house. As the former waiting room of the dentist's office, this space is completely intact, right down to the integrated yellow seating. Separating this room from the rest of the house is a series of smaller rooms, once former exam rooms and a reception area. Since starting At Home Modern, this side of the house has acted as storage for inventory, although someday the couple can see turning it into extra living quarters or office space. Inspiration for a transitional dining room remodel in New York with gray walls

Contemporary open concept living room and dining room with neutral earth inspires stone like the wood dining room table and stump side table as well as natural stacked stone on the walls.

This boys' room had new windows installed, a chair rail molding added, the floors refinished, and a new light fixture installed to complement the paint colors. The designer recommended painting above the chair rail molding a darker color than below, giving the room a more classic feel.

This high ceilinged powder room was made more intimate by adding a chair rail and adding wallpaper above the chair rail. We have kept the focus on the beautiful fixtures by not installing the wallpaper below the rail. Walls: Sherwin Williams SW7642 Pavestone TrimL Benjamin Moore Classic Gray
