This Industrial Loft Sofa collection consists of armchair, foot rest, rocking armchair, 2 or 3 seats sofa and chaise lounge. Main characteristic of this collection lies in its emphasized spherical side of each piece in the collection, which is made from solid wood, additional graced with widened parts in the back or seat. These parts are made from knotted segments of tree trunk, where rings have spiral form and resemble human eye, hence the name of the whole collection. Also, ‘eye’ gives exceptional ergonomics to each piece, as the upholstered part follows their shape. Additional aesthetics and 3 D effect can be seen in slightly conical legs which form a conical shape. Adamick Architecture designed the renovation and camelback addition to this beautiful single-family residence. The goal of the project was to keep the historic characteristics of the building while modernizing the structure. The building had a number of rear additions that were in disrepair, and these were removed at the outset of the project. This building had a very unique cruciform footprint that was preserved during the renovation. We were able to maintain many of the historic features throughout the house and maintain the original charm of the unique architectural detailing. Adamick Architecture developed a beautiful summer den on the ground floor with a covered porch that opens to the rear yard. Features to note include a half-bathroom tucked away under the stairs, plenty of closet space, a charming laundry room, and retained pocket doors. The contractor of record was Dixie Construction.

Terrazzo was used in a variety of applications, including flooring, kitchen countertops, and wall cladding in the bathroom. It is a prime example of the versatility of this elegant material. A part of Agglotech’s “Classico” line, the color selected features mid-sized chips of red Verona marble aggregate set in an ocher-colored cement base.

With a baby on the way and old cabinets falling apart at the seams, a kitchen remodel was the number one priority for our clients in their charming, historic Denver home. It was essential to make the kitchen feel more spacious and open, while still maintaining it’s original footprint and privacy from the rest of the house. Cabinets on three out of four walls caved into the center of the kitchen, making it feel small and difficult for even two people to be moving about! By eliminating cabinetry on the west wall, we were able to not only make the kitchen feel bigger and brighter, but we also revealed the characteristic exposed brick that was hiding behind a string of cabinets! The brick wall adds so much character and, paired with the wainscoting, is a beautiful nod to the home’s historic charm. As passionate cooks and hosts, it was crucial for our clients to have an island to utilize the counter space for prepping food and having a place for friends or family to sit and chat while they cooked a meal. Small but mighty, the island is the center of attention with a beautiful black walnut butcher block countertop, cabinets for storage, and seating for three! Our favorite feature in this kitchen sits just above the gas range; the custom wood surround on the range hood was handcrafted onsite as the final finishing touch. The elements of the natural wood, soft French grey cabinets, satin brass hardware and intricate marble herringbone backsplash all come together on this one wall, giving you a moment of cohesive glee. We are thrilled with the transformation, and our clients are elated to have a beautiful new kitchen for their new, growing family.

Maybe it was just a blushing moment, maybe more distance is needed. A white yarn flutters above the cliff, accompanied by the wuthering of the wilderness blows. Suddenly, all of the unevenness turn into grains and textures, appearing on the wood planks. The story contains small rural villages, huge ruts, and the warmth of that stone fireplace. The coloring process of this type of flooring is unique, using the reactive stain coloring technique, wood’s natural colors and grains react differently to the water-based environment-friendly chemicals, such color variations represent wood’s natural characteristics. The water-based UV Lacquer coating type provides great protection to the wood planks, it not only prevents the permeating of water moisture but is also more durable and environment-friendly.

The concept behind this beautiful traditional kitchen renovation was to enhance existing characteristics of the room. The great natural light, lofted ceiling to the left of the kitchen, creating a light, airy atmosphere. We felt keeping the palette light and clean in terms of cabinetry and backsplash enhanced the warmth of the hardwood flooring. The style is traditional but timeless. Details like door style, the detailing on the island legs, crown molding, and decorative accents like corbels are what give this beautiful kitchen it’s charm. From each vantage point there is a focal area, like the undermount sink anchored by the perimeter windows and upper cabinetry, the feature area in the backsplash above the cook-top and below the custom hood, and the stunning kitchen island with extended countertop for additional seating.

The home celebrates the colors and textures of Europe with an inviting mix of aged patinas, rich distressed wood, and open outdoor pool cabana. The design of the house is oriented toward the West Cuesta Ridge in the distance and can be seen throughout the house through the large window and doors. This Spanish Revival takes its place among the graceful and genteel tradition of Santa Barbara architecture. Located in a secreted area of Montecito, the house is tucked amidst a wooded glen along a riparian creek bed. Carefully sited at the top of a rolling green, the building provides a strong form in the natural landscape. With its reference to historical precedent, the house is both undeniably familiar and tangibly rich. Site sensitivity and pure spatial relationships combine in new ways, showing that what’s old can be new again. An entry courtyard concealed behind a pair of wooden doors of Moorish design begins the entry sequence. The courtyard, wrapped around an existing mature oak tree, creates an outdoor room, which establishes an interplay between interior and exterior spaces, a theme that recurs throughout the house. An exercise in scale and proportion, the 5,000-square-foot residence is imbued with classic detail and richness found in the Spanish Colonial architecture characteristic of George Washington Smith and others. Interior spaces are created through pure and varied geometric volumes, and are elaborated by opened beamed ceilings, groin vaults and Moorish arches.

M-S Pro Architects announce the completion of an indoor swimming pool in a state-of-the-art, single storey family home set in a picturesque location on the outskirts of Bratislava - one of Europe’s youngest capital cities. Kebony, a beautiful wood recommended by leading architects, was chosen to craft the ceiling of the swimming pool, which is designed to emulate rippling waves as well as for the terrace deck and structural beams. Sustainability and a desire to recreate the close proximity often seen between wood and water in the natural environment were primary focuses in the design of this project. This led a requirement for a low maintenance wood, compatible humidity and with advanced durability, for the swimming pool ceiling. In addition, a high level of precision when cutting the wood was required in order to achieve the desired appearance of waves. Supplied by Leading Market, Kebony was carefully selected for the pool ceiling, which consists of 490 lamellae of timber, due to its versatility, durability and environmental credentials. Kebony was also installed throughout the exterior of this property, both for the spacious outdoor terrace and the exterior and interior beams. One of the reasons to choose Kebony was the unified look of wood in all these different applications. Developed in Norway, the patented Kebony technology uses an environmentally friendly process, which permanently enhances the properties of sustainable softwood with a bio-based liquid derived from agricultural crop waste. By polymerising the wood’s cell wall with furfuryl alcohol, the wood gains greatly improved durability and dimensional stability, giving it characteristics similar to those of tropical hardwood. In creating a wood with comparable properties to tropical hardwood that can be grown in a FSC certified, sustainably managed forest, the demand for tropical woods is reduced, allowing timber to once again be an important part of sustainable construction. Tomáš Hubinský, Lead Architect at M-S Pro, commented: “From conception through to completion, the creation of this ceiling has been a real feat. Despite the challenges faced by such an intricate design, Kebony was the perfect material to convey our desired effect of waves rippling along the ceiling. We will continue to incorporate Kebony into our interior and exterior designs, with wood fast becoming the first choice material for all architects.” Mette Valen, Sales Manager Norway at Kebony, explained: “The distinctive nature of this design cleverly portrays the capability of Kebony, demonstrating both the aesthetic and performance qualities of the product. We would be honoured to work with M-S Pro in the future and look forward to seeing how they utilise Kebony in their future projects.”

This homeowner’s outdoor living area was redesigned to add some elegant characteristics. In order to do this, various materials were used. The retaining walls found along the property were made from PA Fieldstone Wallstone. The textures and various colors found throughout this stone easily enhance the outdoor area and offer visual stimulation. Ashler pattern brownstone was used throughout the patio, creating a clean and polished look. This patio surrounded a beautiful swimming pool that was aligned with brownstone caps along the border.The materials that were used in this landscape exterior created a relaxing and enjoyable space, perfect for the family.
