L+M's ADU is a basement converted to an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) with exterior & main level access, wet bar, living space with movie center & ethanol fireplace, office divided by custom steel & glass "window" grid, guest bathroom, & guest bedroom. The entry area became an 'urban mudroom' with ample storage and a small clean workspace that can also serve as an additional sleeping area if needed. What better way to draw the two together than using natural elements such as the wood beams, cement floors and stone FP and mixing them with chrome, velvet and color! The swivel chairs were a functional way to add to the conversation area or turn to view the television.
