Contemporary. Expansive. Multi-functional. An extensive kitchen renovation was needed to modernize an original design from 1993. Our gut remodel established a seamless new floor plan with two large islands. We lined the perimeter with ample storage and carefully layered creative lighting throughout the space. Contrasting white and walnut cabinets and an oversized copper hood, paired beautifully with a herringbone backsplash and custom live-edge table.

This used to be the living room! The renovation plan dictated that this would be a better dining room. A new gas fireplace with storage was added. This wall divides the kitchen and the dining room, therefore rather than leaving it bare, a custom wine / coffee bar was designed! The goal was to design a floor to ceiling cabinet playing with various depths and millwork detailing, while maximizing on storage. This bar will definitely come in handy when hosting parties!

The leather sofa adds warmth to the all white & grey open concept kitchen / den. Mixing textures and subtle patterns through the custom area rug and cushions, helped bring visual interest while still allowing the kitchen to take center stage!

This bathroom was completely remodeled with an all white colour scheme complete with a mixture of various marble types. Marble includes a pattern of carra marble, venato marble and callacatta marble. We sourced a home depot white freestanding vanity cabinet and placed a custom made carrara marble counter on top of it with undermount oval sinks. This vintage beach cottage underwent an extensive interior and exterior remodel designed to enhance lake views and create outdoor living spaces for entertaining family and friends. The update included new finishes, structure, and mechanical systems within the existing building shell, as well as new terraces and landscaping on the narrow beach front property. The landscape retaining walls and permeable paver design won the 2011 Belgard World Class Awards for Best Residential Project and Best Design. The project was also nominated for Best in Class Versa-Lok product, and Best in Class for Permeable product Belgard awards.

When we work on a private residence, we take every care to understand and respect that this is not just a property, structure or set of blueprints. This is your home. We listen first, working with your vision and sense of style, but combining your ideas with our extensive knowledge of finishes, materials and how to consider every last detail in order to create an overall look and feel that will really "wow."

This early 90's contemporary home was in need of some major updates and when my clients purchased it they were ready to make it their own. The home features large open rooms, great natural light and stunning views of Lake Washington. These clients love bold vibrant colors and clean modern lines so the goal was to incorporate those in the design without it overwhelming the space. Balance was key. The end goal was for the home to feel open and airy yet warm and inviting. This was achieved by bringing in punches of color to an otherwise white or neutral palate. Texture and visual interest were achieved throughout the house through the use of wallpaper, fabrics, and a few one of a kind artworks.
