This vintage style bathroom was inspired by it's 1930's art deco roots. The goal was to recreate a space that felt like it was original. With lighting from Rejuvenation, tile from B&W tile and Kohler fixtures, this is a small bathroom that packs a design punch. This modern kitchen in an urban home creates a calm yet energizing space for cooking and entertaining. Clean cabinet fronts and sleek lines reduce visual clutter. A marble island with bar seating and a deep prep sink are lit by sleek brushed steel pendulum lights. A single ribbon of shelving with cabinet under-lighting creates a defined space for personal knickknacks, allowing them to contribute personality without disturbing the order of the space. A wall-mounted flat-screen provides an opportunity for cooking along with videos, watching a game, or video-chatting with family.

Embarking on a garage remodeling project is a transformative endeavor that can significantly enhance both the functionality and aesthetics of the space.
By investing in tailored storage solutions such as cabinets, wall-mounted organizers, and overhead racks, one can efficiently declutter the area and create a more organized storage system. Flooring upgrades, such as epoxy coatings or durable tiles, not only improve the garage's appearance but also provide a resilient surface.
Adding custom workbenches or tool storage solutions contributes to a more efficient and user-friendly workspace. Additionally, incorporating proper lighting and ventilation ensures a well-lit and comfortable environment.
A remodeled garage not only increases property value but also opens up possibilities for alternative uses, such as a home gym, workshop, or hobby space, making it a worthwhile investment for both practicality and lifestyle improvement.

A striking island occupies the center of a spacious kitchen in Bloomfield Hills. The HPL backed real wood veneer in Ebony Sabbiata from Tree Frog bridges the tonal distance between the walnut floors and all white cabinets and walls, creating harmony and visual balance. Full height backsplashes in shiny white are laid out in a windmill pattern, punctuated every so often with intricately designed accent squares. A combination of bold veining and delicate blooming on the Calacatta quartzite countertops contributes its subtle energy to the mix. The kitchen is separated into several independent vignettes, each one laid out symmetrically. The vast island with built in sink offers all the prep space a chef could need. The built in cooktop is centered directly behind to facilitate easy cooking, while an additional sink in the clean up area expedites after dinner chores. A walk-pantry and small home office are tucked in behind the refrigerator freezer wall. Multiple lighting details, including lighted cabinet interiors and a lighted display niche above the refrigerator, complete this stunning 2015 lake home.

Every room in this modern penthouse is adorned in luxurious wallpaper, with bold patterns that have neutral qualities, which contribute to an overall palette of restful hues. Furniture with clean lines and the addition of a stellar bar allow this design to complement the existing modern finishes and kitchen.

The neutral color palette and beautiful simplicity used in this bathroom contributes to the serene & elegant atmosphere of this contemporary space!

Refurbished cabinets, Silestone counters, marble back splash and sill, along with antique-finish hardware create a clean and uncluttered finish, while contributing to the '20's cottage ambiance.

One of the hallmarks of Prairie style architecture is the integration of a home into the surrounding environment. So it is only fitting for a modern Prairie-inspired home to honor its environment through the use of sustainable materials and energy efficient systems to conserve and protect the earth on which it stands. This modern adaptation of a Prairie home in Bloomfield Hills completed in 2015 uses environmentally friendly materials and systems. Geothermal energy provides the home with a clean and sustainable source of power for the heating and cooling mechanisms, and maximizes efficiency, saving on gas and electric heating and cooling costs all year long. High R value foam insulation contributes to the energy saving and year round temperature control for superior comfort indoors. LED lighting illuminates the rooms, both in traditional light fixtures as well as in lighted shelving, display niches, and ceiling applications. Low VOC paint was used throughout the home in order to maintain the purest possible air quality for years to come. The homeowners will enjoy their beautiful home even more knowing it respects the land, because as Thoreau said, “What is the use of a house if you don’t have a decent planet to put it on?”

This wall-mounted floating toilet enhances the clean, modern aesthetic of the bathroom while maximizing floor space. Its streamlined design creates a sleek, minimalist look and allows for easier cleaning, contributing to the overall spa-like feel of the space.

Michael Merrill Design Studio designed this 110 square foot guest bedroom in the quietest, simplest, most unobtrusive way possible. Diagonal sightlines, open back chairs, furniture that does not extend to the floor, open weave fabrics at the windows all contribute to a sense of spaciousness.

The family who has owned this home for twenty years was ready for modern update! Concrete floors were restained and cedar walls were kept intact, but kitchen was completely updated with high end appliances and sleek cabinets, and brand new furnishings were added to showcase the couple's favorite things.

Eichler in Marinwood - The primary organizational element of the interior is the kitchen. Embedded within the simple post and beam structure, the kitchen was conceived as a programmatic block from which we would carve in order to contribute to both sense of function and organization.
