This stunning lake home had great attention to detail with vertical board and batton in the peaks, custom made anchor shutters, White Dove trim color, Hale Navy siding color, custom stone blend and custom stained cedar decking and tongue-and-groove on the porch ceiling.

The master suite pulls from this dark bronze pallet. A custom stain was created from the exterior. The exterior mossy bronze-green on the window sashes and shutters was the inspiration for the stain. The walls and ceilings are planks and then for a calming and soothing effect, custom window treatments that are in a dark bronze velvet were added. In the master bath, it feels like an enclosed sleeping porch, The vanity is placed in front of the windows so there is a view out to the lake when getting ready each morning. Custom brass framed mirrors hang over the windows. The vanity is an updated design with random width and depth planks. The hardware is brass and bone. The countertop is lagos azul limestone.

For her own home in New Canaan, CT, Shelley Morris gutted a mid-century, ranch style house, transforming it inside and out. Reinvisioning the exterior architectural elevation and interior floor plan, the designer orchestrated rich, textured materials including Venetian plaster walls, reclaimed wood beams, floor to ceiling mutton windows, wide plank white oak floors, painted custom millwork, and horizontal wainscot. Raising ceiling heights in most of the rooms (either cathedral or tray style), she also introduced round windows, French doors, a black granite surround fireplace, and all-new bathrooms, kitchen, plumbing and lighting. The furnishings are a layered collage of subtle textures and color.

This coastal summer vacation house down in the Cape Cod, MA area has a fun, bright and bold atmosphere. It was designed to fit a large amount of family and friends in a compact space. Echoing the same modern classic feel, we chose a wood frame bed in a grayish wood tone and paired that with medium brown nightstands and a dresser with antique brass details. A dark wood framed bench with beige upholstery sits at the end of the bed. Table lamps made of stone and with brass details, provided just the right touch of sophistication to the space. Matching that is a unique brass chandelier. A dark framed mirror with brass accents is placed above the dresser to provide visual appeal and to give lightness to the space. Finally, an area rug with classical elements gives added warmth to the space.
