The extra tall upper cabinets add height and drama to the space. The glass inserts at the top have lighted interiors which serve as storage and display areas. The Crown molding continues over the stainless hood, bridging the nearly 4 foot gap between the two sides. The grey accent color on the wall cabinets is echoed at the large kitchen island. The soft white perimeter color serves as a great anchor for the bold grey accent. The granite stays true to the color scheme with its white base and grey and black veining. The back splash is a grey vein cut limestone. The glass inset tiles offer color and shine to the subway limestone. At the hood area, the pattern switches to herringbone, but maintains the glass accent. By using the same tile and simply changing the format, we add visual interest to the space without creating competing elements. The exposed end of the left upper cabinet has door panels integrated to the side. Instead of a 5 foot flat side, the decorative false door adds dimension and character.

Located in the highly sought-after Allwood neighborhood of Darien, this spec house is the fourth collaboration with a client who first began with a renovation of her own home. While architecturally it is a traditional home from the exterior, the interiors are more transitional in style. In order to compete in the speculative market, our client’s directive was clear – ‘differentiation the kitchen design from every other spec house’. So we incorporated painted cabinetry but highlighted with rift-cut white oak base cabinets. This contrast between these finishes influenced our decision to select a subtle white quartzite countertop to deliberately highlight the striking porcelain backsplash.
The steel and glass partition frames the space – drawing the eye to the focal point of the kitchen, the custom stainless steel hood. Gold hardware adds a pop of flair to the space and warms the room. Walnut drawer inserts, stainless steel appliance garage, pull out trash drawers with compost bins and a stylish desk make this the Gold Standard of spec houses.

"TaylorPro completely remodeled our master bathroom. We had our outdated shower transformed into a modern walk-in shower, new custom cabinets installed with a beautiful quartz counter top, a giant framed vanity mirror which makes the bathroom look so much bigger and brighter, and a wood ceramic tile floor including under floor heating. Kerry Taylor also solved a hot water problem we had by installing a recirculating hot water system which allows us to have instant hot water in the shower rather than waiting forever for the water to heat up.
From start to finish TaylorPro did a professional, quality job. Kerry Taylor was always quick to respond to any question or problem and made sure all work was done properly. Bonnie, the resident designer, did a great job of creating a beautiful, functional bathroom design combining our ideas with her own. Every member of the TaylorPro team was professional, hard-working, considerate, and competent. Any remodeling project is going to be somewhat disruptive, but the TaylorPro crew made the process as painless as possible by being respectful of our home environment and always cleaning up their mess at the end of the day. I would recommend TaylorPro Design to anyone who wants a quality project done by a great team of professionals. You won't be disappointed!"

Full scale renovation in Santa Monica, CA. Before the renovation, this home was a dated, closed off space that had no flow. A wall was removed in the kitchen to create an open and inviting floor plan. All new interior shell details were selected by Kimberly Demmy Design - as well as all the furnishing that finished off the space. The end result was a polished space that encapsulated the full potential of this home.

I designed and assisted the homeowners with the materials, and finish choices for this project while working at Corvallis Custom Kitchens and Baths.
Our client (and my former professor at OSU) wanted to have her basement finished. CCKB had competed a basement guest suite a few years prior and now it was time to finish the remaining space.
She wanted an organized area with lots of storage for her fabrics and sewing supplies, as well as a large area to set up a table for cutting fabric and laying out patterns. The basement also needed to house all of their camping and seasonal gear, as well as a workshop area for her husband.
The basement needed to have flooring that was not going to be damaged during the winters when the basement can become moist from rainfall. Out clients chose to have the cement floor painted with an epoxy material that would be easy to clean and impervious to water.
An update to the laundry area included replacing the window and re-routing the piping. Additional shelving was added for more storage.
Finally a walk-in closet was created to house our homeowners incredible vintage clothing collection away from any moisture.
LED lighting was installed in the ceiling and used for the scones. Our drywall team did an amazing job boxing in and finishing the ceiling which had numerous obstacles hanging from it and kept the ceiling to a height that was comfortable for all who come into the basement.
Our client is thrilled with the final project and has been enjoying her new sewing area.

This kitchen was beautifully designed in Waypoint Living Spaces Cabinetry. The 720F Cherry Chocolate glaze and the island is the 720F in the maple hazelnut glaze. The counter top is Giallo Rio with an ogee edge. The back splash tile is Crema Cappuccino. The Moasic behind the sink in a basketweave pattern in Crema Cappuccino. The floor tile is 12x24" onyx sand tile.

Our homeowner approached us first in order to remodel her master suite. Her shower was leaking and she wanted to turn 2 separate closets into one enviable walk in closet. This homeowners projects have been completed in multiple phases. The second phase was focused on the kitchen, laundry room and converting the dining room to an office. We feel fortunate that she has such great taste and furnished her home so well!
Dining Room turned Office: There is a white washed oak barn door separating the new office from the living room. The blue accent wall is the perfect backdrop for the mirror. This room features both recessed lighting and a stunning pendant chandelier. It also has both a pocket door and barn door. The view to the backyard was a part of this remodel and makes it a lovely office for the homeowner.
