This is the old dining room. Now we created a bench that is awaiting a new custom cushion, table and chairs flanked by an adorable mini bar with wine cooler, stemware holder, glass display cabinet for the fancy glasses ( with LED lights of course!) on the right side and a convenient appliance garage and even more store on the left side. So cool. I will post more photos when it is completed.

This top-to-bottom renovation in Ramona, California, transformed a once heavy and confused interior into a serene retreat. Our design introduced a warm, inviting atmosphere with a stunning mix of medium and dark wood tones, paired with contrasting textural stone elements and bold black accents. The result is a space that feels balanced, abundant, and deeply connected to nature.
Designed for a spiritual client seeking harmony, this home now embodies tranquility and comfort. Every element, from the rich wood tones to the organic textures, works together to create a space that supports mindfulness and relaxation. The careful blend of materials creates a sanctuary-like environment, making it the perfect retreat from the everyday hustle.
This transformation highlights our expertise in creating personalized spaces that bring balance and warmth, aligning with our client's lifestyle and values.

Inspiration for a mid-sized transitional u-shaped light wood floor open concept kitchen remodel in Seattle with a farmhouse sink, shaker cabinets, dark wood cabinets, quartzite countertops, beige backsplash, mosaic tile backsplash, stainless steel appliances and an island

These wonderful clients returned to us for their newest home remodel adventure. Their newly purchased custom built 1970s modern ranch sits in one of the loveliest neighborhoods south of the city but the current conditions of the home were out-dated and not so lovely. Upon entering the front door through the court you were greeted abruptly by a very boring staircase and an excessive number of doors. Just to the left of the double door entry was a large slider and on your right once inside the home was a soldier line up of doors. This made for an uneasy and uninviting entry that guests would quickly forget and our clients would often avoid. We also had our hands full in the kitchen. The existing space included many elements that felt out of place in a modern ranch including a rustic mountain scene backsplash, cherry cabinets with raised panel and detailed profile, and an island so massive you couldn’t pass a drink across the stone. Our design sought to address the functional pain points of the home and transform the overall aesthetic into something that felt like home for our clients.
For the entry, we re-worked the front door configuration by switching from the double door to a large single door with side lights. The sliding door next to the main entry door was replaced with a large window to eliminate entry door confusion. In our re-work of the entry staircase, guesta are now greeted into the foyer which features the Coral Pendant by David Trubridge. Guests are drawn into the home by stunning views of the front range via the large floor-to-ceiling glass wall in the living room. To the left, the staircases leading down to the basement and up to the master bedroom received a massive aesthetic upgrade. The rebuilt 2nd-floor staircase has a center spine with wood rise and run appearing to float upwards towards the master suite. A slatted wall of wood separates the two staircases which brings more light into the basement stairwell. Black metal railings add a stunning contrast to the light wood.
Other fabulous upgrades to this home included new wide plank flooring throughout the home, which offers both modernity and warmth. The once too-large kitchen island was downsized to create a functional focal point that is still accessible and intimate. The old dark and heavy kitchen cabinetry was replaced with sleek white cabinets, brightening up the space and elevating the aesthetic of the entire room. The kitchen countertops are marble look quartz with dramatic veining that offers an artistic feature behind the range and across all horizontal surfaces in the kitchen. As a final touch, cascading island pendants were installed which emphasize the gorgeous ceiling vault and provide warm feature lighting over the central point of the kitchen.
This transformation reintroduces light and simplicity to this gorgeous home, and we are so happy that our clients can reap the benefits of this elegant and functional design for years to come.

If you’re active on GardenWeb sharing plant photos, asking for advice, tracking seasonal progress you already understand how much detail goes into gardening. Soil pH, rainfall, emerging leaves, bloom counts, fertilizer schedules it adds up fast. But all that rich information often remains buried in posts, lists or memory. What if you could visualize that data and turn it into clear quick insights? That’s where a graph maker becomes a game-changer for your gardening workflow.
1. Why garden data belongs on a graph
On GardenWeb, you’ll find forums for everything from perennial care, vegetable gardening, patios, herbs, even cooking and craft projects. While plant lovers share observations and ask questions, many track progress manually in spreadsheets or memory. A graph maker flips that around:
Instead of a list of numbers (e.g., “Soil test: pH 6.4 in May, 6.1 in October”), you get a line graph showing the decline over time.
Instead of guessing which plant bloomed most, you see a bar chart comparing counts across plants.
Instead of manually calculating average rainfall effect, you plot scatter points of bloom count vs. rainfall.
By turning your data into visuals, you’re not just recording—you’re analysing, learning and improving. For GardenWeb users this means smarter decisions: Which fertilizer actually improves bloom count? Which shady spot recovers slower? A graph maker gives clarity.
2. What is a graph maker and how to use one
A graph maker is a web tool or software that lets you input raw data (numbers, dates, categories) and output visual charts like line graphs, bar charts, scatter plots, etc. It might allow you to import a spreadsheet, select chart type, customize colours, label axes, and export the image for your blog, forum post or personal log.
Here’s how you could apply it for gardening:
Log blooms per week for each rose plant.
Using the graph maker, choose line graph to track changes over weeks.
Label your y-axis “Number of Blooms”, x-axis “Week of Year”.
Add colour lines for each plant for easy comparison.
Export as PNG and embed it in a GardenWeb forum post: “See bloom trend for my ‘Peace’ vs ‘Knock Out’ roses”.
This isn’t just pretty-to-look-at: it makes the trend obvious, invites discussion (“Hey, your ‘Knock Out’ line dips after week 28—what changed?”) and helps you refine your routine.
3. Use these specific scenarios on GardenWeb
A. Soil pH and plant health tracking
After multiple tests you have pH values over time and bloom results. Upload both datasets into the graph maker, produce a dual-axis line graph: soil pH on one axis, bloom count on the other. Post your findings in the “Soil, Fertility & Nutrients” forum and get feedback.
B. Seasonal pest or disease appearance
Record number of aphids spotted each month and whether you used treatment. A bar chart via the graph maker can show pre- and post-treatment figures. Then ask the “Insect & Disease Control” forum for advice based on your visual data.
C. Yield comparison between varieties
You grow two zucchini varieties. You keep weekly yield in pounds. Use the graph maker for a side-by-side bar chart. Share in the “Vegetable Gardening” forum: “Which was better this year? See the chart”.
D. Rainfall vs growth rate
You log weekly rainfall and growth (in cm) of your tomato plants. Use scatter plot in graph maker. If a pattern emerges, you’re ready to post: “Is my growth plateau due to drought? Chart shows a clear correlation.”
4. Why this elevates your GardenWeb contributions
When you post with a chart made by a graph maker, you’re doing more than asking or showing off. You’re investigating. You’re analysing. You invite the community to give feedback on data, not just anecdotes. That elevates the discussion. Instead of “My plant died, any ideas?” you post “See this graph of pH drop and bloom count—what might be the limiting factor?” High-quality visuals raise your post’s value and garner more thoughtful responses.
Plus, your posts become useful references for others: someone else can say, “Cool graphic, can you share your data sheet?” You build credibility and help the forum become a learning hub—not just a Q&A board.
5. Tips for using a graph maker effectively in the GardenWeb context
Keep it simple: One chart, one insight. Don’t overcrowd.
Label clearly: Titles, axis labels, units (e.g., cm/week, mg/L, °F).
Use readable colours: Avoid faint tones that vanish on mobile.
Annotate when needed: Add notes like “Fertiliser switched week 12” or “Shade cloth added”.
Provide context in your post: Don’t leave the chart alone—write a few sentences explaining what it shows and what you’re seeking.
Embed carefully: Make sure your image displays properly in GardenWeb; check mobile view.
Share raw data: If possible link to your spreadsheet so others can replicate or comment.
Be open to feedback: The chart invites questions; embrace them.
6. Possible pitfalls and how to avoid them
Bad data = bad chart: If your measurements aren’t consistent, your graph will mislead. Use standardized data collection.
Too much complexity: Multi-axis charts, too many variables—confusing. Stick to one or two variables.
Overlooking mobile viewers: Many GardenWeb users browse via phones. Use large fonts and simple visuals.
Ignoring the narrative: Chart alone won’t answer. Explain what it means and what you need.
Outdated charts: If you update your data annually, keep your visuals current or label them clearly as “2024 data”.
7. Final thoughts
On GardenWeb you’ll find a vibrant community of gardeners, DIYers, cooks and design lovers.Using a graph maker for your posts and progress turns your experience from casual hobby-logging into smart data-driven gardening. You’ll not only learn more—your peers will learn more, too.
So next time you log your plant growth, record your yield, test your soil or track pests—don’t just note it. Plot it. Use a graph maker. Share it in the forum. Let your garden tell the story, and let the community help you write the next chapter.

We must admit, we’ve got yet another show-stopping transformation! With keeping the cabinetry boxes (though few had to be replaced), swapping out drawer and drawer fronts with new ones, and updating all the finishes – we managed to give this space a renovation that could be confused for a full remodel! The combination of a vibrant new backsplash, a light painted cabinetry finish, and new fixtures, these cosmetic changes really made the kitchen become “brand new”. Want to learn more about this space and see how we went from “drab” to “fab” then keep reading!
Cabinetry
The cabinets boxes that needed to be replaced are from WW Woods Shiloh, Homestead door style, in maple wood. These cabinets were unfinished, as we finished the entire kitchen on-site with the rest of the new drawer and drawer fronts for a seamless look. The cabinet fronts that were replaced were from Woodmont cabinetry, in a paint grade maple, and a recessed panel profile door-style. As a result, the perimeter cabinets were painted in Sherwin Williams Tinsmith, the island in Sherwin Williams Sea Serpent, and a few interiors of the cabinets were painted in a Sherwin Williams Tinsmith.
Countertop
The countertops feature a 3 cm Caesarstone Vivid White quartz
Backsplash
The backsplash installed from countertops to the bottom of the furrdown are from Glazzio in the Oceania Herringbone Series, in Cobalt Sea, and are a 1×2 size. We love how vibrant it is!
Fixtures and Fittings
From Blanco, we have a Meridian semi-professional faucet in Satin Nickel, and a granite composite Precis 1-3/4 bowl sink in a finish of Cinder. The floating shelves are from Danver and are a stainless steel finish.
Flooring
The flooring is a cork material from Harris Cork in the Napa Collection, in a Fawn finish.

A expansive backyard with modern touch ups. Everything seen in the pictures are built or installed by Park Landscaping Ltd. From the brown slate outdoor walkway that supports the dark wood deck to the ocean pearl slate stairs that lead to the outdoor stone fireplace. Creativity with stealthy and modern elements to ensure that the surrounding area is complemented, not isolated.

With the Pedestal Collection, Eero Saarinen resolved the "ugly, confusing, unrestful world" underneath tables and chairs. The collection is a defining accomplishment of modern design and a timeless addition to your home—a true classic.

The pictures below are of a multi coloured sandstone floor installed at a property in East Keswick which is a village approximately halfway between Harrogate and Leeds. (Not to be confused with the more famous Keswick in the Lake District)
The stone floor had not been cleaned professionally for ten years and although the grout looked clean It was clear that any sealer that was once present had long since worn off leaving the stone unprotected. The result was dirt had become deeply ingrained in the Sandstone leading causing the stone to darken and hide its true beauty and rich colouring. The client had tried lots of different products to clean the floor but had not had any luck.
I visited the property and carried out a few successful patch tests resulting in the floor becoming much cleaner. They were happy to go ahead with my quote and we arranged a time to return and complete the work.
I prepared the area before starting, taping up the skirting boards and doors to protect them from the splashing that can happen during the intensive cleaning process.
To get the sandstone clean I applied a medium dilution of Tile Doctor Pro-Clean to the floor and allowed it to soak in for ten minutes. The solution was then worked into the Sandstone using a rotary floor machine fitted with a black scrubbing pad. More Pro-Clean was applied with a hand-held scrubbing brush to get deep into the grout lines and to reach into the corners.
Once done the floor was rinsed with water and the soil extracted with a wet vacuum. The floor was inspected, and the process repeated until I was satisfied that the stone and grout had released all the trapped dirt. After a final rinse, the wet vacuum was used to get as much moisture out of the stone as possible and then the floor left to dry out fully overnight.
Returning the following morning, I first checked that the floor was dry using a damp meter. The sealer won’t cure if there is any moisture in the stone and I’ve been known to reschedule sealing a floor if the readings are too high. On this occasion I was satisfied that the floor was within acceptable levels, so I was ready to seal the floor.
I used three coats of Tile Doctor Colour Grow to seal the floor, this is an impregnating sealer which intensifies natural colours whilst providing durable protection against stains, an essential feature in an area such as a hallway which is subject to constant foot traffic.
As you can see from the photos the transformation was quite impressive, the floor became much lighter and almost unrecognisable, the natural colours of the stone were now visible, and the floor looked beautiful. The client was very happy with the end result and has said they would not hesitate to recommend me to others.

This project In Orleans, Ontario, Canada was a total transformation of the space from tired, confusing and dated to clean, crisp and colourful. The many accessories and details provide a nod to traditional with a modern take. The open concept space, has the colour scheme carry through to the family room with a custom fireplace built in and custom furniture, sourced with the help of Purdy & Associates Design.

Yukon Maple offers stunning style. Combining maple's softly subtle grain with heavy scraping creates a look that's high in character and visually cool. 3/8" thick and available in three separate width options, the planks have microbeveled edges and ends. Just the floor for relaxed family living. Yukon Maple Mixed makes it easier to install a mixed width floor. With all three widths packaged together in the same carton (3 1/4", 5", and 6 3/8"), there is no confusing calculations to perform. Yukon Maple is also available in 5" wide planks and 6 3/8" wide planks separately.

Transitional meets Traditional, somewhere in Atlanta, Georgia. If you're looking for sophisticated comfort, intertwined with easy living, this home provides just that. The mixtures of textures and styles allows this home owner the luxury of entertaining for the Super Bowl, all the way to gathering colleagues for an intimate dinner. You will find a little modern push, as you walk through this home, along with a New England flavor. It can be confusing on how so many flavors can be mixed into one space and still find a brilliant flow for the home. Part of the secrete is; undertones. The undertones of paint are the foundation to the ability to work with warms and cools together as a team, and within a flowing palette. Silver pushes through color, and can become different in undertones, depending on what is sitting near that particular color or texture that has the silver undertone.
