Cover. A white double stitch seals the edge of a sliding felt seat, designed for accessing the storage box below. With ample storage for those things you’d like to keep out of sight and two shelves for footwear, this bench will contribute to keeping your place in perfect order.

The goal of this bath was to create a spa-like feel. Opting for the dominant color of white accented by sage green contributed to the successful outcome. A 54” white vanity with double sinks topped with Carrera marble continued the monochromatic color scheme. The Eva collection of Moen brand fixtures in a brushed nickel finish were selected for the faucet, towel ring, paper holder, and towel bars. Double bands of glass mosaic tile and niche backing accented the 3x6 Brennero Carrera tile on the shower walls. A Moentrol valve faucet was installed in the shower in order to have force and flow balance.

This family room went from ultra shabby to super chic! Before the renovation the floors were a worn, dated parquet. We replaced the parquet flooring with a warm chocolate glazed birch hardwood. The fireplace surround was a dreary white painted brick which we refaced with a copper metallic porcelain tile. The preexisting built-ins were completely demolished as they were oversized and out of date. We designed more contemporary and functional custom built-ins for the space, adding some square footage to the room as well. The primary goal for this project was to craft a modernist derivation of pueblo architecture. Set into a heavily laden boulder hillside, the design also reflects the nature of the stacked boulder formations. The site, located near local landmark Pinnacle Peak, offered breathtaking views which were largely upward, making proximity an issue. Maintaining southwest fenestration protection and maximizing views created the primary design constraint. The views are maximized with careful orientation, exacting overhangs, and wing wall locations. The overhangs intertwine and undulate with alternating materials stacking to reinforce the boulder strewn backdrop. The elegant material palette and siting allow for great harmony with the native desert. The Elegant Modern at Estancia was the collaboration of many of the Valley's finest luxury home specialists. Interiors guru David Michael Miller contributed elegance and refinement in every detail. Landscape architect Russ Greey of Greey | Pickett contributed a landscape design that not only complimented the architecture, but nestled into the surrounding desert as if always a part of it. And contractor Manship Builders -- Jim Manship and project manager Mark Laidlaw -- brought precision and skill to the construction of what architect C.P. Drewett described as "a watch." Michael Habachy designed this luxurious master bathroom for a penthouse in Buckhead. It began as a completely raw space with concrete floors and framing, allowing the designer to tailor every single detail to fit the client’s lifestyle. The client wanted a dramatic and luxurious look, but also functionality. The custom, Neo-classic inspired vanity achieves that by concealing the power for blow dryers and curling irons, and integrating a built-in towel warmer. Materials such as polished Calacutta marble and special cut and beveled diamond shaped mirrors contribute to the luxurious feel. Every feature received a tremendous attention to detail, including the black and white tiled rug with inset stainless steel dots. A rich layering effect was achieved by placing a custom made linear light fixture in front of white sheers, to give the illusion that its droplets of Swarovski crystals were woven into the fabric. With adjacent neighbors within a fairly dense section of Paradise Valley, Arizona, C.P. Drewett sought to provide a tranquil retreat for a new-to-the-Valley surgeon and his family who were seeking the modernism they loved though had never lived in. With a goal of consuming all possible site lines and views while maintaining autonomy, a portion of the house — including the entry, office, and master bedroom wing — is subterranean. This subterranean nature of the home provides interior grandeur for guests but offers a welcoming and humble approach, fully satisfying the clients requests. While the lot has an east-west orientation, the home was designed to capture mainly north and south light which is more desirable and soothing. The architecture’s interior loftiness is created with overlapping, undulating planes of plaster, glass, and steel. The woven nature of horizontal planes throughout the living spaces provides an uplifting sense, inviting a symphony of light to enter the space. The more voluminous public spaces are comprised of stone-clad massing elements which convert into a desert pavilion embracing the outdoor spaces. Every room opens to exterior spaces providing a dramatic embrace of home to natural environment. Grand Award winner for Best Interior Design of a Custom Home The material palette began with a rich, tonal, large-format Quartzite stone cladding. The stone’s tones gaveforth the rest of the material palette including a champagne-colored metal fascia, a tonal stucco system, and ceilings clad with hemlock, a tight-grained but softer wood that was tonally perfect with the rest of the materials. The interior case goods and wood-wrapped openings further contribute to the tonal harmony of architecture and materials. Grand Award Winner for Best Indoor Outdoor Lifestyle for a Home This award-winning project was recognized at the 2020 Gold Nugget Awards with two Grand Awards, one for Best Indoor/Outdoor Lifestyle for a Home, and another for Best Interior Design of a One of a Kind or Custom Home. At the 2020 Design Excellence Awards and Gala presented by ASID AZ North, Ownby Design received five awards for Tonal Harmony. The project was recognized for 1st place – Bathroom; 3rd place – Furniture; 1st place – Kitchen; 1st place – Outdoor Living; and 2nd place – Residence over 6,000 square ft. Congratulations to Claire Ownby, Kalysha Manzo, and the entire Ownby Design team. Tonal Harmony was also featured on the cover of the July/August 2020 issue of Luxe Interiors + Design and received a 14-page editorial feature entitled “A Place in the Sun” within the magazine.

The huge single under-mount stainless sink is positioned at the window over-looking the pool and lush back yard. The bump-out design adds interest and the latches on the upper cabinet doors add a nautical/coastal flair. There are two islands, this "front" one convenient to the sink and refrigeration features ample storage with many drawers including the microwave drawer. The counter is Labrodorite which is commonly used for jewelry. It's iridescent and sparkles like moonstone. The center section between the two islands features an oval wood-topped table with banquette bench seating on two sides. The show-stopping coffered ceiling was custom designed and features a highlighted central area in a circular design. The area behind the range has marble subway tile and the other backsplash areas are raised wood panels giving a furniture quality to this homey space. The dishwasher and large Sub-Zero refrigerator are also paneled in white wood while the microwave and 48" range is stainless steel. The prior cherry kitchen from the late 1990's with Corian counters was re-invented as a entertainment/auxiliary kitchen in the lower level of the house. Inspiration for a mid-sized eclectic living room remodel in Houston

Union Square Loft II DHD Interiors worked with this couple to furnish their new recently renovated Flatiron loft. Navigating the dark wood paneling and flooring, DHD selected furniture and finishes that felt rich in color and texture while still cool and casual. Layers of grass cloth wallpapers were added to the main bedrooms to reduce the contrast of the dark wood and walls, adding brightness to the loft’s overall feel. Greys and mink-toned browns served as the foundation for a base palette, with deep burgundies and blues working as accents. This loft feels like a true downtown loft with its original brick and an industrial dining table, but stays balanced with softly upholstered furniture. Inspiration for an eclectic living room remodel in Los Angeles

Keeping the original old farmhouse feel but extending the living and kitchen space was top priority for this family home. Natural hickory flooring, a dramatic granite piece for the island, and beamed ceilings in the newly added great room contribute to the subtle variations that make this space so interesting and warm.

Covering the file cabinets is Caesarstone's Jet Black Quartz countertop - clean and functional. The wood look porcelain tile floor is the same flooring we have throughout the downstairs - again a very clean, durable and contemporary look.
