They came to us requesting a more spa like experience and a designer’s eye to create a more refined space. A large steam shower, bench and rain head replaced a dated corner bathtub. In addition, we added heated floors for those cool Chicago months and several storage niches and built-in cabinets to keep extra towels and toiletries out of sight. The use of circles in the tile, cabinetry and new window in the shower give this primary bath the character it was lacking, while lowering and modifying the unevenly vaulted ceiling created symmetry in the space. The end result is a large luxurious spa shower, more storage space and improvements to the overall comfort of the room. A nice upgrade from the existing builder grade space! This West Austin couple was halfway through a re-design on their home when their dream house popped up for sale. Without hesitation they bought it and a new project was hatched. While the new house was in better shape, it needed several improvements including a new primary bathroom. Now this contemporary spa-like retreat features a vanity with a floating cabinet with large storage drawers, basket storage and a thick marble countertop, black mirrors and hardware. Accent tile runs from the floor up the shower wall. Set in a herringbone pattern, the tile adds color, texture and is the focal point of the room.

This hall 1/2 Bathroom was very outdated and needed an update. We started by tearing out a wall that separated the sink area from the toilet and shower area. We found by doing this would give the bathroom more breathing space. We installed patterned cement tile on the main floor and on the shower floor is a black hex mosaic tile, with white subway tiles wrapping the walls.

This ensuite bathroom for one of the bedrooms has copper ceramic tiles and complementary ceramic tiles on the floor and wall. All the bathrooms have skylights and windows which help to bring in light and natural ventilation. The vanity is clad in a natural black walnut veneer
